Warm, clean house and attentive host, but poor mattresses and not good value for the price

We really appreciated the heating system. With a simple turn of the thermostat, it heated up quickly and warmed the whole house evenly. When we arrived, the heating had already been switched on (either by the host or an automatic timer), so we walked into a lovely warm house — which made a big difference with temperatures at –2°C. The house was very clean and nicely furnished throughout. Communication with the host was excellent. When a light bulb burned out, he came by within 20 minutes of me getting in touch, which we really appreciated.

Unfortunately the mattresses were not very comfortable for us. I’m not sure what type they were, but they felt very firm with no bounce or memory foam, which made sleeping difficult. I would really recommend investing in at least a basic but decent mattress (for example from IKEA) for the bedrooms. The bedsheets were clean and fresh-smelling, however they were quite worn with noticeable pilling, so a refresh might help improve comfort. We also noticed quite a lot of cat hair on the window sills and dining table, which was a little unexpected. Luckily neither of us has allergies. Overall, for the price paid, we didn’t feel it offered good value and we wouldn’t choose to book again.

Excellent location and very comfortable but with downstairs toilet only.

This house is in an astonishingly good location for access to cycle and walking routes AND for access to the heritage area of the city. We were almost able to cycle into the front door directly from the Rebellion Way!! Our bikes were safely stored out of sight in the back yard. The house itself is in very good condition, comfortable and well equipped. It was reasonable value for the two of us but would easily accommodate 2 couples and would then be extremely good value for money.

The only downside to this property is the distance from the bedroom to the bathroom/toilet. The steep staircase is a bit of a challenge in the middle of the night.

Location was perfect. Central King's Lynn, less than a minute's walk from King's Lynn station, 2 minutes walk from huge supermarket.

Washing machine would be useful, as well as working TV remote, although I understand that this was misplaced by the previous guests.

Our stay was wonderful thanks to its convenient location, cleanliness and comfortable amenities.

The location is ideal, especially for those relying on public transportation, with stores, cafes, and the city center all within a short walking distance. The key collection and return process is very convenient. The place is extremely clean and well-maintained, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare your own meals. The beds, pillows, and blankets are comfortable, and the TV offers a wide variety of programs to suit every taste.

The only drawback is that the building itself is quite steep, which initially causes a bit of dizziness when moving around.
