Pipers Cottage - Quirky Cottage near Ironbridge!

The property has a homely feeling and has all the essentials required for a break away. Situated close to areas of interest and would recommend several visits including booking on to the tile decorating workshop at the Tile Museum (booking in advance) and the Shrewsbury Prison tour. If you want a stroll on the evening then there is a local nature reserve, for a short evening walk, a five minute walk away. There is a sizable Spar shop across the road to get those essentials when you arrive. The property itself is comfortable and tastefully decorated with information folder informing you how to work everything and things to do in the local area. The bedroom although slightly small is comfortable with good quality mattress and pillows. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need, oven ignites with a flame which is provided. The garden was an added bonus, lovely to sit outside to eat dinner or have a coffee.

During our stay the shower did not work, this was communicated to us the day prior to arrival, initially, I was informed that this was going to be rectified quickly, ether prior arrival or Tuesday, therefore, decided to continue with booking (at this point no refund was offered). I informed hosts that workmen could enter the property during our stay. After the delay and sending them an email they did inform me that they would refund the two remaining nights if I left the property, however, booking anywhere else at short notice was not viable so remained that night and left a night early (which they did refund). There is a bath in the property which isn't full size and during the hottest week in August with temperatures hitting 37 a bath wasn't a luxury, coupled with the difficulty with one individual getting out due to medical condition, hence the importance of having a functioning shower (it is this element that has resulted in the lower overall rating of the property) Additionally, there is a parking space which was described as tight, I managed to park the car when the neighbour wasn't present, however, when they were I did have to park away from the property due to the turn of several walls. I have a small car, therefore, if in a bigger car this is worth noting. Even though no fan was advertised in the property a desktop fan would have been welcomed in the bedroom. There have been reports of the bad reception on the television, netflix and YouTube work okay, however, terrestrial very broken, however, with plenty to do it wasn't on a great deal and in sure a fire stick would rectify. PS: in reference to your feedback to my review I would like to clarify I marked you as good for hosts, cleanliness and value for money, excellent on location, the property was scored as okay for facilities and comfort. This is a fair reflection of the stay.My review was balanced highlighting many positives aspects, therefore, your comment of angry was disingenuous.

Lovely place - it's our second stay. Homely and clean. Exceptionally well equipped - I don't think we needed to bring anything other than our clothes and fresh food. Great location for sightseeing/ visiting family. Close to amenities.

Maybe black out curtains in bedrooms? Not a negative in any way - just a personal preference to sleep in complete darkness.

The location is great for what we wanted. The accommodation was clean and tidy with all the amenities we needed. Close to EV charging for our car, in a free to use car park and cheap too. Perfect!

The TV reception was a bit iffy. Creaky stairs and big step down into the bedroom, but that's why it's quirky I guess?
