The Sandbeck, Danby

The property was practical and served our purpose for the short 3 day stay.

The bedroom is very small and with two cases was awkward to maneuver around without care. The room has vertical blinds only which meant room was bathed in light at 5am, it would benefit from blackout curtains. Because the bed has two split single beds, this hid the plug sockets behind the headboard, which required pulling out bed to plug in phone chargers. There is no shelving in the bathroom which meant that our toiletries were kept on the floor. Washing up breakfast plates/dishes in the bathroom sink was also awkward. Breakfast is basic, cereal and yoghurt and horrible coffee.

The beds were very comfortable, nice cotton sheets etc. central location.

Room was a bit small difficult to find as place for suitcases and bags etc. lack of plug sockets for hairdryer, phone chargers etc

Location was fantastic - within walking distance of all amenities

A few niggles with the room, it was quite small but ok for the price paid. The water pressure and temperature in the shower was intermittent.
