Booking.com did not give us full access code to house. We had to ring the owner for full code.

Perfect location very close to the seafront with a lovely street of shops and cafes nearby. The apartment is on the first floor of a large handsome townhouse. The living area (kitchen/dining/sitting room) is a beautiful place to sit - it has large windows on two sides so loads of light and views of Victorian streets, a fine old church and wonderful skies too! Bedrooms and bathroom are comfortable and the whole place is spotlessly clean and in excellent condition…

My only small reservation is that the living area is modest in size ie kitchen/diner/sitting area in one room. We were a party of two on a weekend walking trip so it was fine, but for me it would be a bit cramped for a longer trip or more people (sleeps 4)… Also could the owners encourage care with recycling by explaining local waste management in the visitor guide? We worked it out but it needed committed investigation! 😊

Property exactly as advertised. We stayed between Xmas and New Year, and the owners made a few nice touches to the apartment, and were helpful and generous in our contacts with them. Nothing to grumble about, and I'm sure we'd try and book it again if we come back to Whitby.
