The Attic

This property is clean, light and welcoming. Located in a safe area so any solo travellers or anyone in fact. The facilities were more than what others offer, iron, iron board, cooker hub, so we were not limited with options when it came to eat. The layout was spot on & host were available & friendly throughout our stay.

Spent most our time out exploring, for the price & value of what we got, this property had nothing we didn’t like. 10/10.

Easy to find and a parking space is available. Well appointed with fridge freezer hob kettle toaster microwave and even an air fryer. Very clean

The bed has an extremely firm mattress which I didn’t like but that’s my personal preference. Also could have done with a thinner duvet in this heatwave.

The room was very comfy. Clean. Well maintained and easily accessible. Great location as close to lots of the sites. Pre arrival comms were excellent and no issues while staying. Will definitely be back when in the area.

Lovely cosy, comfortable place for a short stay, very clean, quiet and well designed room - it was obvious some thought had gone into it. The facilities in the kitchen were amazing considering the small space it occupied. Everything was in good order and working. Lots of nice thoughtful touches - I appreciated the sheet that had been left out as an alternative to the duvet in hot weather. Ventilation good. Convenient location for visiting Buxton, just off the main A6, so some traffic noise, but very convenient for buses into Buxton which is always worth a visit, as is the Peak District in general. Very good value for money and host was friendly and helpful. I was able to use the allocated parking space outside OK, I'm not sure how you go on if someone else grabs it as it's a private road. ,

I found the bed too firm, but this is down to personal preference and not a criticism. I continually banged my head on the low ceilings which ran up either side of the accommodation, so I think I might be well advised to take a helmet with me another time. This might be a problem just with me, but it was very easy to bang your head getting off the loo (I'm not especially tall). Also, to get in and out of the shower you had to push the one large door inwards and squeeze round it to get in, so you couldn't switch it on before you got in resulting in an initial cold shower folllowed by a very hot shower which couldn't be turned down. Having the loo the other way round and with parting shower doors it would be fine.
