A clean & well-equipped apartment, on a quiet road very close to the centre of Kirkby Stephen. The owners provided good upfront info, were flexible and provided some complimentary goodies for our arrival. :-)
KS has an abundance of eating & drinking options including some very nice pubs, and is a good location for those who enjoy walking in the countryside - it is on the coast-to-coast walk route, and is surrounded by a multitude of hills.
There is also a vintage railway just outside of the centre, another of my passions although we didn't get to visit it on this occasion ... maybe next time though!

Lovely place everything you need in one place.
Gillan and steve where astounding hosts completely understandable and accommodating.
You are right on top of everything but you only hear the animals.
Bed is hard.

Kirkby Stephen is quite a nice village with great access to the Yorkshire Dales and The Lakes District.
Lovely Yorkshire villages to visit close by.
Good places to eat and the surrounding area is extremely picturesque.
Very noisy street with traffic noise.
Noisy boiler in kitchen.
Bed too small for us and unfortunately we had to alternate sleeping in lounge room.
Photos on site gave impression of larger property.
