Adorable cottage in the countryside, very much amongst the fields with sheep nearby. The stay itself is the old converted barn or stables of the farmhouse, modern facilities and lovely underfloor heating. The birdfeeder outside is a lovely touch, saw some woodpeckers and robins. The hosts in the neighbouring building were lovely, kindly gave us a lift one day.

Its a home from home only better :)
I would have preferred a walk in shower instead of bath and a shower but thats just my personnel preference it may not be for others.

We were staying in the area for a wedding. The cottage is lovely and spacious. Nice views all around and we watched the sunset on the first night. We didnt use the garden but liked seeing birds through the door. We went out for a couple of walks too and not too far from a Co-Op in Kirkby Stephen.
Tricky parking but soon got used to it (I found it easier to reverse in from the road and then pull onto the cottage parking space. Then you can pull out normally onto the road when leaving).

Fabulous cottage. Quiet,clean and comfortable. Great location for exploring the area. Very kind hosts who didn’t mind me turning up so late.
No remote for the DVD player.
