About this cottage rental
Beautifully rustic home at the end of a private road, which boasts a serenely peaceful setting overlooking the lake. It is especially nice for kayaking, swimming, or fishing. Our property has a private launch to give your boat access to the lake, and a personal dock perfect for morning coffee while the sun rises over the forest trees or an evening glass of wine as the sun sets over the mirrored waters. Experience the glorious outdoors by visiting our personal lakeside oasis and all it offers.
The space
The house has a rather open floor plan. When you walk in, you are in the living room / dining room area. It is also the kitchen as well. The ceilings are also cathedral, so the space feels majestic. Off of this area, there is a screened in porch on which you have a clear view of the lake, our front yard. There is the main bedroom, which used to be two bedrooms. Therefore, this is not a small room. It contains the built-in workstation on one side of the room and the sleeping area on the other. Upstairs is the "one-room bunkhouse," holding four beds for a good amount of sleeping space. And finally, downstairs is where the laundry room is located.
Guest access
You will have access to the main house and laundry room. There is a detached garage and workshop that will not be accessed by guests.
Other things to note
There is canoe and kayaks on the premises. We also have provided a few life vests. There are cameras on the exterior of the property and they are monitored periodically.
*There are tree lines on either side of the property. those are the property lines. please respect these lines and do not trespass on my neighbors property. Please stay on the camp side of the road also.
pets must be leashed while outside. please clean up after your pets. please respect my neighbors and not let your pets run free.

Besides a snafu at the beginning, which the host took care of, we had THE BEST time at this property! Waking up every morning to this quiet, peaceful view is amazing! And they have so many kayaks and a canoe (tons of paddles) that the whole family can be out in the water! We also brought river tubes.

There’s places for swimming, fishing ,kayaking and a boat launch for small watercraft with trailer. The pond is huge and the surrounding areas are beautiful to kayak, boat or sail on! There is a good size deck to sit on over the water. So quiet and peaceful.Inside there is a large screened in porch great to sit on and take in the water views. Ample room and spaces to gather for games and meals. There is a nice equipped kitchen to prep and cook in. The host is easily accessible and responsive. We hope to go back the entire family loves it there! Thank you for having us!

Fishing and Swimming is good. Boat Launch was a little wash out at the bottom so we didn't risk taking our boat on it so that was a little disappointing. Absolutely dead Cell Service but good Wifi so we were able to connect that way. Humid week so it was a little bit hot inside even with the fans going. Plenty of room for a big family. Jeff is a very good host.
