B&B Handy Palermo

We stayed here for 3 nights and everything was simply perfect. We would come back anytime and would definitely choose this hotel again. From the very beginning, we felt incredibly welcome. Both Vincenzo and his father were incredibly friendly, caring, attentive, and helpful throughout our entire stay. Due to flight delays, we arrived much later than originally planned, very late at night. They waited for us until we arrived, which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. The breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh croissants from the local bakery. Every morning, we were asked which kind of croissant we would like, and the coffee was excellent as well. They also gave us lots of useful information about Palermo, including a map and great recommendations on what to see and where to go. Whenever we had a question or needed anything, they were always there to help. My husband even got quite a bad sunburn during our trip, and they kindly gave him some after-sun lotion. The room was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. The location is also fantastic: only a few minutes from the train station, which makes it extremely convenient, but still in a very nice and safe area. Despite being so close to the station, it was surprisingly quiet – we never heard any trains or other disturbing noise.

Honestly, we cannot find a single negative thing to say. Everything was 10/10.

Der Host serviert mit seinem Vater jeden morgen gemeinsam Frühstück. Insgesamt sind es nur 3 Zimmer sodass max 6 Leute beim Frühstück sind. Der Host nimmt sich jeden Tag auch für Fragen oder Empfehlungen Zeit. Der Vater spricht nur Italienisch aber der Host übersetzt immer und baut seinen Vater ins Gespräch ein. Das macht das Frühstück zu einer besonderen Erfahrung. In der Küche darf man sich tagsüber jederzeit Kaffee, Obst und gekühltes Wasser nehmen. Gerade das Wasser ist ein super Service, da man nicht immer daran denken muss vor dem Heimkommen Wasser für den Abend zu kaufen. Die Zimmer sind ziemlich neu mit Fernseher und Kühlschrank und eigenem Badezimmer. Die Klimaanlage war angenehm. Lage ist auch super. Direkt beim Bahnhof. Man kommt fußläufig in die Stadt aber man kann auch den Zug nehmen um kleinere Orte an der Küste zu besuchen. Der Zug ist günstig (2-4€ pro Person pro Fahrt) und für mich eine bessere Alternative als die Busse (meistens verspätet, man muss umsteigen, teilweise überfüllt). Alles in allem würde ich wieder hier übernachten.

It shows that Vincenzo and his father have a lot of passion for their B&B! We've rarely met hosts as welcoming as they were! Shout out to the Italian breakfast every morning; the pistachio cornetto e cappuccini were to die for!
