Menta Loft

Great location, close to everything and in a quiet area. It was spotless and comfortable and had extra little supplies that made the stay more enjoyable.

The location was perfect. We were able to walk to all the main sightseeing spots, and everything was very easy to navigate. Communication was outstanding. The host was extremely responsive, with quick replies to any questions we had. All instructions were clear and detailed, from finding the property to entering the building and using the amenities.

Very nice modern flat with really comfy beds, fairly well-equipped kitchen, comfy seating and a great TV, in a fantastic location close to some great eating places, a few small supermarkets, a taxi rank, and the National Archaeology museum. Everything is really clean, there’s good A/C and loads of storage space in the bedrooms. There’s a welcome guide and a small, thoughtfully curated selection of books on Crete in 3 languages.

The sitting room is artistically designed, with an ornament on every shelf, but we would have preferred more shelf space for our stuff, as we were staying for a week. For us there were too many sophisticated gadgets – eg, we found it hard to work out how to use the kettle effectively, and had to find a video on YouTube to work out how to get the microwave to defrost something. The owners responded to messages quickly, but we found the check-in process and contact with the owners a bit impersonal. Some things seemed designed for very tall people – eg, the lock box and the microwave.

Convenient location close to the port. We had an early ferry to catch. Spacious apartment for three of us.

The entrance key can’t be separated from the electricity card. We needed to return the car after checking into the apartment. So I had to call my son to open the main gate for me after I got back.
