Great house, great location but really bad host.

The house itself was great. Nice bathroom, plenty of space, garden that would be great in the summer to eat outside. Great location in a small town, very close to the motorway and right in the middle of the UK. Good enough that we extended our stay with the refund for the things that went wrong.

Arrived at the house finally, exhausted, to find all the beds hadnt been cleaned with bits in the bed from the previous occupants. Rubbish in the kitchen and food in the fridge. We took all the bed stuff to Fartown Dry Cleaners in Huddersfield and she cleaned them all for only £20! We then found out the internet has been disconnected. That meant no TV too. With 8 kids for 2 weeks that was tough!The owner has given the site a fake number so you cant contact him (even booking.com could contact him) except through booking.com, which he ignored until booking.com gave us a partial refund. He asked what was wrong and then didnt reply for the rest of our stay!

Well where to start boiler did not work and was dangerous…all the beds/sheets pillow cases were filthy most of the crockery was filthy. Broken cupboards and drawers not been cleaned at all….rubbish in the derelict garden which we had to bag up because we had dogs and we found broken china and an abundance of fag butts everywhere….showers sinks and toilets all disgusting all shades of pubic hair everywhere ….if I could have got another place to stay I would’ve but unfortunately we could not at last minute….i cried and I’m still upset. Could not get hold of the owners or anyone by phone or message. Still waiting for a refund!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! You will be disappointed we were.

Where do I start, there was no hot water, boiler read ‘service’ which is extremely dangerous and potential carbon monoxide risk! The number provided by the host was incorrect so cannot contact, bed sheets were dirty, oven and all pans and utensils were filthy, garden full of rubbish, a bottle containing a yellow liquid was found in one of the wardrobes and there was a hole in the stairs up to the house in which one of our guests fell down in high heels after the wedding we attended!

Disgrace of a property.... avoid avoid avoid

The location to brighouse centre and surrounding areas was ideal, the local Indian Resturant The Royal Saffron at the bottom of the road was outstanding.

The state of the property was horrendous. Looks as though it hadnt been cleaned for weeks. The bed linen were blood stained and there were hair in the beds from previous guests. The back yard is over grown with weeds and strewn with cigarette butts. Oven and cooking pans a disgrace. The oven door was hanging off. Blinds in the attic room broken so room floods with sunlight from 4.30am. Toilet seat in bathroom broken

There was absolutely nothing we liked about the property.

The property was absolutely filthy- the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned and there were remnants of someone’s shave in the basin. The toilet lid was up with urine from the last person in visible. The hob was filthy, as was the fridge. How this property can be let out as a holiday home is beyond me. I am so cross with myself for not reading the reviews before booking. Avoid at all costs.

No number to contact, the address they give was a hour away from property, I block booked for 10 weeks after week 2 they had not returned my emails, and I was left with no accommodation.

Dreadful, place not cleared since last guests, fake contact details - DO NOT BOOK HERE

We arrived at the property to find it hadn't been cleaned, bins full etc., and was left as the previous guests had left it (in a state). We were (and still are) unable to contact anyone as the phone number given is not available and the email bounced back. We are still trying to get feedback. We had to find alternative accommodation. This property owner should not be allowed to operate.

The property was adequate for a short stay

The property has a lot of potential, large open spaces suitable for a large group, showers and bathroom were good, large TVs and property was warm, lots of towels and clean bedding found in the basement (would have been better if these were presented nicely to us), washing machine available, plus detergent.. lots of issues mentioned in previous reviews had been rectified

Overall cleanliness of the property wasn't to a high standard, there was some cleaning equipment but nothing to sweep/hoover the floor during our stay. bed arrangement wasn't particularly suitable ( 3 single beds in 2 of the bedrooms, bunk bed in 3rd bedroom and 2 sofa beds in the lounge) oven door still broken, garden covered in cigarette butt's and overgrown with dandelions

The house was cozy and felt like home lots of beds all comfortable and clean and the roll top bath was the icing on the cake

We had to clean when we arrived and buy toilet paper, tea towels and pillow cases from Tesco.

Location was as described. There were enough beds for everybody. The kitchen table was nice for meals.

It was dirty. Very dirty. All surfaces needed wiped and vacuum needs to be taken under and behind furniture. The phone number/email for the property didn’t work. There was lightbulb missing at front door and in living room. Dishes in cupboards and on draining rack were dirty. No tea towels or washing up liquid. Fridge was filled with opened food and had mould. There was no toilet paper. Door handle in bunk room missing, lock on upstairs toilet broken, shower door loose, drawer broken. Bedding was missing, stained or damp. There is a blocked drain outside the kitchen. Oven door handle broken and oven glove dirty.

Would never go to this property again.

There was no toilet paper and hair dryer as written in the description- tried to contact the owner but no response. The oven handle was broken and filthy on the inside, the bathroom tap was extremely loose and about to fall off, the bath was blocked and the shower door was broken. Tried to contact the owner regarding all of this but no response. Extremely unhappy for the ridiculous price.

Disappointed, dirty, overpriced, dangerous and not maintained

The washing machine

The property was dirty, not all the beds were made, cooker handle broken, no plug in the kitchen sink or washing up bowl, no plug in the bath, property sleeps 12 but only half a roll of toilet roll, sofa stained, tv and lead in the top floor is a health and safety hazard, broken lock on the toilet door on the top floor, had to go the the basement to find clean towels, vest of draws broken, only seven coat hangers in the property, tap in the downstairs bathroom turns when you turn it, back yard floods when you turn the washing machine on, no welcome back, two slice toaster for twelve people, no door handle for the children’s bedroom, avoid

We didn’t get to go to the property as they cancelled on us a few hours before we were to set to drive from London to Bradford. Absolutely ridiculous service as I had to pay over £200 for a last minute large place.

À fuir absolument ! Nous avons eu un séjour catastrophique dans ce logement. Dès notre arrivée, il était évident que l’appartement n’est plus entretenu ni correctement géré. Voici une liste (non exhaustive) des problèmes rencontrés : • Pas d’eau chaude pendant tout le séjour (chauffe-eau en défaut) → nous avons dû nous laver à l’eau froide pendant 7 jours. • Pas de chauffage. • Pas de serviettes propres à l’arrivée, nous avons dû laver nous-mêmes celles présentes (dans un état douteux). • Les draps n’étaient pas propres. • Logement extrêmement sale, non nettoyé avant notre arrivée. • Cuisine très mal équipée : pas de fourchettes, très peu d’ustensiles, porte du four cassée. • Déchets dans la cour, poubelles non sorties depuis longtemps. • Coupure d’eau complète pendant une soirée, sans aucune solution proposée. • Nous avons même trouvé des bouteilles d’eau sales laissées dans l’appartement. Nous avons consulté le livre d’or présent dans le logement, et TOUS les commentaires récents sont négatifs, ce qui confirme qu’il y a probablement eu un changement de gestion/propriétaire.
