Double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together. Eggs at breakfast were rotten and smelled foul

The rooms are basic but modern and clean, and reasonably quiet. As others mentioned, the bathroom and shower are nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is very useful with various shops and restaurants nearby and a metro stop. The large lobby serves some food and bar drinks with snacks. Only disappointment was the breakfast which, while free, was not great quality.

The room was really small, and had a funny smell. There’s no window to open, to let any air in. The carpets in the corridors were absolutely filthy! Breakfast was most possibly the worst I’ve ever had - the crockery was dirty, with stuck on food, the food was lukewarm (if that), because we had a dog we had to sit in a defined area which was a long way from the buffet so there was lots of walking backwards & forwards before we could even sit down to eat. The food was INCIPID with sloppy white scrambled eggs, tinned mushrooms, pink sausages and the bacon was that undercooked the fat was still pure white (nigh on raw)! Someone was picking bits of waffle out of the waffle machine where it had stuck to it, each time you’d go up something would be missing, the hash browns were lukewarm and dry ….. the fresh orange was watered down concentrate, the pastries when available, as there were none this morning) were over baked, it was just disgusting. There were no staff about - I blame the company for that, not the staff. I thought it was really bizarre how we sat in the reception area and the breakfast was served in the reception area. One morning the coffee machine wasn’t working, this morning it was, then after a while all drinks were crossed out other than hot chocolate. It wasn’t that clean, anywhere, in all honesty. There was nowhere to put your belongings in the room. Not only due to lack of space. Would I stay here again? A resounding “NO”! People were constantly stood smoking outside the reception, there was no car park - you have to park in a public car park across the road. For leisure it was rubbish. Maybe if you’re on business it would serve its purpose. People were in their pyjamas in the mornings. A weird experience As for the people who’ve given it rave reviews, they’re either deluded, got low standards or aren’t very well travelled (or all three)!! Not for me, I’m afraid.
