they had booked parties and we wasnt informed so the dining room was full, and it was really loud and busy, didnt help asd sensory.

Our hot taps weren't very hot, they were warm but couldn't have a bath in the room due to water being cold by time bath was full enough for it to be worth while getting in the bath. And person preferences but the bacon was rock hard for breakfast in the morning

Friendly staff, staff professionally groomed. Breakfast food and choices very good.

Evening compare was unnecessarily loud. Background music was miles too loud and guests could not hear themselves speak. Need to cater for a variety of people and not just a certain era. We were lead to believe it would be Xmas music coupled with disco. Music far too loud for such a small room. There should have been speakers in each area. The main meal was hot, but starter was cold.

Left after about 3hrs paid 327.00 for two rooms. Dirty pint pots and wineglasses all on the corridor our room 206 wasn’t clean no towels no dressing downs no water in the rooms my daughters room 227 wasn’t clean the same pint pots and wine glasses all on the halls. 5 Stars for the staff! It may be rated a 4 star hotel (not so sure it quite meets 4 stars) but the staff, including the Manager, make this hotel a five star venue. Would I visit again? Yes, because the staff made it a memorable stay, thank you.

The hotel prefers an approximate arrival time, which I gave in advance. However, I tried calling reservations twice to book a table for our evening meal, and was put on hold, twice. No one answered after holding for 10 minutes each time, then I emailed as I had no joy via telephone to book our table. On the journey there, we were held up on the Saddleworth Moors by half an hour, so I called to check if our table was reserved as our ETA was now 10 minutes before the booking. I was told that they had not reserved the table as there were already too many people booked for that slot and was asked if we could arrive 5 minutes before our Sat Nav estimated arrival time otherwise we couldn't eat at the hotel? I was perturbed by this and thought that as they had received my email, they should have out of courtesy contacted me to advise of the busy evening and advised that they could accommodate an earlier booking but no later than 6:15pm. We would have gladly changed our plans and set off earlier, still allowing time for hold ups. Communication from the outset would have prevented a lot of stress and worry for us prior to arrival. Having got our evening meal, sadly, I wouldn't recommend the steak, unless I was unlucky, it was far too gristly to eat and I had to leave it on the plate as it wasn't edible. I did tell staff but they said the restaurant was now closed due to Christmas parties and no refund was offered so I went hungry after all! Didn't get chance to use or visit the spa so cannot comment on that.

Was a loud hotel. My room must of been near a store room as staff was in and out the room banging throughout the early hours. Didn’t really have and concentration for sleeping guests. Didn’t have tea and coffee facilities in room but it’s suppose to be 4star?

The spa was meant to close at 8, and we were kicked out at 7.45

The bathroom was nice and fresh, despite broken tap. Room decor was comfortable and stylish

Unwelcoming reception team at check in. Noisy guests until 3am not addressed by the staff despite requests. For this level the room was missing expected items, hairdryer, suitcase stand. The marketing photos show a Nespresso machine but only instant coffee in the room. Overall quite disappointing unfortunately.

Breakfast was ok, but locarion has been moved to a smaller room, makingvit crowded at times and difficult to get breakfast. Cjoffee machine needs to be attended and refilled more regularly.

Mattress in our room needs replacing.

The hotel was lovely, room was clean and tidy, spa was excellent and dinner was also very good.

Breakfast was a let down, for approx £26 for 2 we felt it wasn't great value for money because a lot of the food in the buffet was inedible. Everything else was exceptional.

The rest of the staff were good, its a shame the manager lets the whole place down

The hill -top to the main entrance leading into the reception hall was very steep. I fell while walking down to the car and I hurt my knee so badly..

The hotel is great, we will definitely be returning again. The amazing staff on reception made our stay perfect, the young lady working on the reception on Saturday and Sunday the 25th/26th October 2025 was the face of the hotel. I didnt get her name, however she needs to be told how good she is, please make this happen Mercury and Booking.com

I missed my flight from Heathrow informed them that I am not coming today but will be there tomorrow morning. When we get there receptionist was busy on the phone and she knows we are standing there. She was on mobile not the hotel phone. Then one of the staff was watching also this and she came to the desk and tell her that customers are waiting Rather Appologising or saying hello She just asked what is the guest name Which I tell her she took the payment and gave is keys. When we went in room there was no milk and water which is complementary. Rang at reception no one turns up. Later we left as visiting family friends and came late night. Next day morning I rang and they provide us just milk but no water. They price we paid and the picture and facilities they are showing is completely different

The bed was very uncomfortable could not sleep and we were given a disabled room and the soaps containers were not working

The staff seemed like nice people. The location was good & according to our son, the spa was lovely.

The staff took a long time to do things. Checking in, ordering food, finding staff... It was not clear in the bar/restaurant that you have to approach the staff for food/drinks. We were served cold tea & 15 minutes later, our lunch arrived. It was not made clear to my son that breakfast was included in his deal. No refund or gesture was offered to make up for the many errors that occurred during our stay.
