Jungle Chic Villa in Chemuyil

We really enjoyed our stay at casa Yolanda! The location is different from what vrbo says, it is not an 8 minute walk from the beach, it’s about a ten minute drive. You will need a car to stay here ( recommend Manuel rent a car in Cancun). Billy welcomed us at the property and showed us around. He even hooked us up with bikes to ride around while we were there. There are several free(and paid) bikeable cenotes in the area. Chemuyil is an adorable town and we had a blast exploring the area. The kitchen was great to cook in, gas and electric range, filtered water, blender, juicer, and the basics to cook. The house has beach umbrellas, and a cooler for guests to use as well. Wi-Fi, and air conditioning worked great. The house is beautiful! We loved it! However there are a few things to be aware of: The deck is a bit old and has some dry rot, I noticed it when we first arrived, unfortunately my hubby fell through a soft spot and scuffed/bruised his leg. They came and repaired it the next day, but there are still a few areas that seem unsteady. The hot tub only worked intermittently, which was disappointing. Billy sent maintenance out to fix it, but it seemed to stop working completely after that. If the hot tub is really important to you, be sure to check that it’s functioning before your trip. There is a neighborhood dog that does seem to bark a lot. It didn’t bother me much but my friends I stayed with didn’t enjoy it. Overall, the house made our trip amazing!
