Canyon View Lodge - Matka

The canyon was just gorgeous! The host gave excellent instructions on how to get there a we had a little VW and was no problem on the unsealed road. It was a beautifully peaceful location and I had the best night's sleep with the breeze and bird sounds. Also only a 5min drive to Matka Canyon for kayaking/boats, so was great to get there at 9am and be the only people kayaking

The only thing was we were a little disappointed with the balcony. It is a shared balcony and the table sits right in front of the room we were staying in. Another couple were staying at the same time as us, so they were sitting at the table the whole evening. This meant that we weren't able to enjoy the table ourselves and they were right in front of our view. We went and sat around the corner which was also nice but we ideally wanted to sit at the main table. There is space so I would recommend getting another table so strangers don't need to sit together.

Truly a unique and gorgeous view directly from our patio. I was so happy to have stayed here two nights instead of treating Matka as a day trip. The room felt like a bit of luxury in the forest. We had a small rent car and were able to drive it all the way to the front door of the lodge (free parking). We received the best support and clear instructions from the staff and owner.

Krásné ubytování s dechberoucím výhledem. Ve společné kuchyni k dispozici za malý poplatek mražená pizza nebo nějaké pití. Instrukce od hostitele jasné a srozumitelné. Vybrala bych si znovu.
