Les Turquoises Étretat - L'Hôtel-Boutique

Basic accommodation in great location. Parking (about 4 mins walk away) was a definite plus. Etretat was a nice place and this is a good option for 1 or 2 nights. Outside space, comfortable bed and nice shower.

X2 teabags and X2 coffee pods seemed a bit mean given the price of the accommodation.

It was situated on a noisy road and access to my room was from the side , on a road that was slippery and not safe, Could not access the breakfast area before 9 am …… everything was lopsided some would call it charming but certainly was not suitable for me.

Eduardo went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, what a wonderful person. The accommodation was just right to be honest and it was clean and tidy. The hotel is perfectly situated within Etretat. The other good thing is they do offer free parking within a ten minute walk to the hotel, which is perfect as parking is hard to find in the centre of town. We will definitely recommend the hotel to our friends and family. The best part of our experience was Eduardo,keep up the hard work my friend x

The only thing I would recommend is to label the soup bottles in the bathroom. This is more of an observation than a complaint:)

The proximity of the town

The bedroom was awful! Smelt really damp, so much so it was unhealthy! the room was on split levels and we weren’t advised about this, the ladder was really steep you had to come down backwards otherwise it was a death trap! The room Was tiny. There was no area for putting your bags, and the ladder leading up to the bedroom was positively dangerous!! The plug by the bed was hanging out of the wall and when I plugged my charger in it actually came out of the wall. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Plenty of broken items. The loo door was broken, heater, toilet. No shampoo, conditioner, no robes

This is the worst accommodation and travel experience we have ever had. We booked 3 nights accommodation on Booking.com from 18th to 21st October 2023 paying in advance as required by the owner. We arrived at the premises around 8.30 pm, having phoned 40min ahead as agreed to let him know when we would arrive. There was no-one there to meet us when we arrived. Reception was closed, door locked. We phoned the owner again and waited 10 mins in the rain to be let in. When we enquired about the “nearby” parking we were told it was 7 mins walk away. When we got to there the access was blocked by road works which we weren’t warned about. We were told that we were not to be given a key to the main reception but had to access from the rear unmade up road, which was dark and at the time partially flooded. Upon entering the room we noticed a strong musty smell and damp and cracking to one of the walls. Upon pulling back the bedspread, the dark coloured sheet was soiled in several places. We called the owner to complain about the soiled sheets, the damp and about the car park and he turned extremely aggressive and abusive and told us to leave immediately. We said it was late and we had nowhere to go. Two people came to collect the key but left when we said we would leave in the morning if we received a refund. This was about 1.30 at night. The owner then turned on the alarm and called the police claiming that we were trespassers. The police left upon our showing our receipt for the 3 nights we had paid for. This was a very frightening experience for two pensioners late at night. Later the owner called to say if we left at 9 am the following morning he would issue a refund. He left the alarm on so we could not sleep. The next day we reported the matter to the police. They spoke to the owner who told them he had authorised Booking.com to make a refund. Booking.com say they have received no any such instructions and we are still waiting for the refund.

Location is ideal. Parking, well off site is free and available. Owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean. Wifi worked well. Decor was nice.

The soaps in the shower were in large glass unlabeled containers kept on floor of shower. The shower enclosure was short allowing water water to escape to floor.
