The best place to stay in Etretat

Me and my son enjoyed our staying at Raphael’s house. Raphael and his family are very nice people. The house is super beautiful and historical. I enjoyed mornings with incredible view from the window and birds’ singing. The room is well furnished and you can find everything for comfortable staying. The breakfast is super tasty and beautifully served. I enjoyed a lot our conversations with Raphael and very grateful for his hospitality and help. Highly recommend the house for your staying at Etretat.

This place is definitely is better to reach by car. I traveled by bus and by train, which was not so easy to access. Think about it before planning your trip.

everything was amazing, the hosts are great, they were very kind and helpful, and i truly appreciate them so much!!! the room was so spacious, with an amazing view. the room’s details were absolutely lovely, from the walls to floors and decor, and the room was clean. staying here is the only time i’ve been able to sleep fully through the nights on my entire europe trip, the beds are so comfortable. their garden is beautiful, and being so close to the ocean and town, with a beautiful walk to the home and from - i have no complaints. their home, the family, town, and ocean have all been a dream come true. i’d love to return as much as i can. merci beaucoup!!!!

Wonderful home with special athmosphere

This hotel and it's owner - M.Raphael - made our stay im Etretat really speacial! The house is beautiful, stands between the pines, with the distant, but beautiful view on the famous rock. The owner very welcoming, also he his family are very interesting people - once I started showing an interest in lovely paintings, which decorate the house, he showed me his ancestors work - all architects, who worked with Cocteau and Shagal, there are still their autographs in the archive. This place would be very interesting for all people artistic or the once, who love art, yet very homey and welcoming

Astonishing villa with an amazing host

Very cozy and authentic villa as well as very gentle host. Even though the villa is 150 years old, it’s in a super good condition (again thanks to the host). You can expect an amazing experience with great scenery and views!

It's a very nice place with a beautiful view from the "red" room . Owners are very friendly and helpful. My daughter (10 y) and I enjoyed the place and the area.

Fascinating place to sta

Gorgeous room(s) and the friendliness of the owners. The art and artifacts around the place are fascinating. The view is great, its close to the center of town. The owners are full of interesting things to do and places to go. The breakfast will keep you going all day. Different types of fresh bread and a croissant, butter, (you don't always get butter in France) homemade jams, tomato, cheese, yoghurt, tea/lovely coffee. Raphael hot up early to give me breakfast before an early train, which was beyond the call of duty. Thank you. I was brought tea and home made cakes in my room. What's not to love? Thank you Raphael and Yasamin. I hope to return. Morag

I was a little cold in my room but a heater was brought into the dining room without me asking! I couldn't find it but this, was because as a British person I found it a step beyond to turn right at a no turning right sign THEN go through a no entry sign! Haha. My bad. It was in the instructions....

Aucuns regrets

Première expérience dans une chambre d hôtes. Ce fut un beau séjour. L’établissement est proche des falaises, nous pouvons faire tout à pied. Les hôtes sont très sympathiques et bienveillants. Bon petit déjeuner copieux. La chambre reste rustique, il faut aimer ce type d’établissement, c est très joli 🤩

Idéal pour un week end au calme, dans la tradition normande.

Une chambre avec salle de bain absolument charmante, traditionnelle de la Normandie. Tout étais impeccable, literie parfaite, pas de poussière. Vraiment c'était super, nous étions dans la chambre jaune qui donnait une vue directe sur les falaises, que demander de mieux.

Olimme kaksi yötä tässä ihastuttavassa bed and breakfast -majoituksessa perheen omassa kodissa. Meillä oli fantastiset näkymät kalkkikivikallioille ja talon kauniiseen puutarhaan huoneemme ikkunasta. Keltainen huone ja kylpyhuone olivat molemmat suuria ja huvilan ylimmässä kerroksessa. Huone ja koko huvila olivat kauniita ja uniikkeja. Aamiainen oli katettu kauniisti ja se oli laadukas, herkullinen ja runsas. Etretatin keskusta oli pienen kävelymatkan päässä ja maailmankuulu Jardins d'Etretat käytännössä talon takana. Ennen saapumista saimme loistavat ajo-ohjeet, joilla löysimme vaivatta perille. Suosittelen tätä paikkaa lämpimästi jokaiselle, joka haluaa pienen kurkistuksen Etretatin huvilamaailmaan.

Nostalgischer Charme

Charmante Villa mit hübschem Garten in Hanglage (etwas schwer zu finden, da nicht asphaltierte Zugangsstraße). Unser geräumiges Zimmer im zweiten Stock hatte eine wunderbare Aussicht auf die Klippen. Gutes und geselliges Frühstück im Salon. Freundlicher Hausherr aus Künstlerfamilie, entsprechende Gestaltung der Villa. Alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber symphatisch. Sehr gute Lage zum Ort und den Klippen

Het gebouw dateert van 1850 en is niet geschikt als verblijf voor toeristen. Bij een stevige wind waait het binnen en is het er koud. Betalen kan enkel met een cheque of cash! De bewegwijzering voldoet niet. De eigenaar is een eigenzinnige betweter.

Ein inspirierender Ort, der Eretrat zu einem besonderen Erlebnis macht.

Zauberhafter und kunstvoller Ort. Wir hatten das rosa Zimmer mit 3 großen Flügel-Fenstern und Blick auf die Klippen von Eretrat. Alleine die raffinierte Funktion der alten Fensterrahmen versetzt einen in frühere Zeiten… Wir hatten herrliche 3 Nächte und wurden herzlich umsorgt. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet (Frisches Gebäck, auch Vollkornbrot, Käse, Wurst, Früchte) Das Parken war kein Problem. Auto brauchten wir dann, aufgrund der perfekten Lage keines.

Wer in diesem alten Haus Fehler sucht, wird sie finden. Wir waren auf der Suche nach dem Besonderen und fanden genau das.

es war ein bezaubernd schöner Aufenthalt , der Gastgeber ist sehr charmant zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Er spricht ausgezeichnet deutsch und liest jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab. Das Haus ich würde es Villa nennen ist ein wahr gewordener Traum. Liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet voller Charme und Zauber dazu die phantastische Lage, die Betten sind sehr gut ich habe nirgendwo so gut geschlafen wie in diesem Märchenhaften Zimmer und Bett ! Danke für die wundervolle Zeit, ich komme gerne wieder.

Teleurstellend verblijf in villa te Etretat

-Ligging in prachtige, historische villawijk in de heuvels boven het dorpje Etretat. De villa ligt in een mooie tuin. Je moet wel goed zoeken om de villa te vinden, want in doodlopend privéwegeltje! -De ´privé parking´ is wel véél te klein en bevindt zich vlak voor de garage van de eigenaars. Constant is er spanning en afspraken maken nodig, anders zit je vast met je auto door andere gasten. Of de eigenaar komt je vragen om wéér eens je auto te verplaatsen, omdat hij uit de garage wil rijden ... Stresserend. -Het warme onthaal van de gastvrouw en haar echte interesse voor de visie, ideeën van haar gasten. Ook bij het vertrek. Die vrouw hield van een goed, diepgaand gesprek. -Grote, ruime kamer met zicht op de falaises en het dorp! -De gastvrouw serveert een verzorgd en gevarieerd ontbijt. 2 ochtenden verschillende ontbijten is fijn. Ook stijlvol damasten tafellinnen. -De speelse energie van het gezin met 3 kinderen, 2 poezen en 1 schattig hondje in een B&B krijg je er gratis bij, áls je hiervoor kiest. Hou hier wel rekening mee.

-Wij zijn niet tevreden over de prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding. Gewoon te duur voor hetgeen je krijgt. 157€/nacht is té veel. Er is geen televisie. -De frigo was al 2 dagen ´kapot´, zei de eigenaar. Maar er werd geen alternatief aangeboden. Niet ok. -Geen WiFi op kamer. -Geen airco. Ook niet mobiel toestel. -We kregen per persoon 1 badhandoek , 1 kleine handdoek en 1washandje voor 2 nachten. Ons vuilbakje werd niet geledigd. Onze bedden niet opgemaakt. -Wij hebben echt last gehad van de norse eigenaar. Hij is architect, maar heeft géén noties van gastvrijheid. Hij laat zijn voorkeur voor sommige gasten blijken. Dit voel je als gast. Tijdens het tweede ontbijt hoorden wij een discussie tussen hem en zijn vrouw! Onaangename situatie. -Toen we arriveerden, kwam hij naar de kamer en gaf mijn zoon direct een sneer, omdat mijn zoon -niks vermoedend- die ´kapotte´ frigo had aangezet. De toon was direct gezet. Wij hebben die man niet één keer zien lachen tijdens die 2 dagen verblijf. -Toen we wilden betalen bij vertrek, was hij druk aan het bellen. Ik stond met cash geld in mijn handen letterlijk te wachten tot hij het telefoongesprek beëindigde. Hoe vlugger we buiten waren, hoe liever hij het had! Conclusie: prachtige villa waar nog veel renovatiewerk dient te gebeuren. Ook in de kamers. Het potentieel is er, maar de eigenaar heeft het gewoon niet in zich om op een professionele manier gasten te ontvangen. Wij waardeerden wel de vriendelijke inzet van zijn echtgenote. Spijtig, maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar. We begrijpen niet dat er gemiddeld een score ´9,1´ gegeven wordt voor deze accomodatie.

Idyllische Unterkunft mit großartigen Gastgebern.

Eine charmante Unterkunft mit Charakter. Die Familie Renard sind ganz besonders entspannte und sympathische Gastgeber. Das Haus ist erhöht gelegen mit einem wunderschönen Garten und einer tollen Aussicht. Zu Fuß keine zehn Minuten zum Strand. Die Zimmer sind sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, das Frühstück ist liebevoll hergerichtet. Eine absolute Wohlfühl-Oase! Ich komme garantiert wieder.

Magiczne miejsce! Niesamowity dom z bogatą historią i cudownymi właścicielami! Piękna willa pełna antyków i dzieł sztuki, otoczona pachnącym ogrodem, z widokiem na morze i klify Étretat. Dojście do miasteczka i plaży - w kilka minut, a jednocześnie cisza i spokój za oknem. Rano budził nas śpiew ptaków. Doskonale, proste i smaczne śniadanie ze świeżych produktów. Gospodarze to niezwykle ciekawi, przemili ludzie, którzy dbali o nasz komfort, służyli radą i tworzyli rodzinną atmosferę. Doświadczenie niezapomniane.

Superbe séjour!!

Très jolie maison et jardin magnifique. L'accès au centre ville et à la plage se fait à pied. Tout près du magnifique golf d'Etretat. Monsieur et Madame RENARD sont très sympas et nous ont très bien reçu. Le petit déjeuner est bon et copieux. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et recommandons l'établissement.

Séjour agréable malgré la météo qui n’a pas collaborée jusqu’à la fin.

La situation dans un jardin en hauteur était parfaite avec une vue lointaine sur la falaise d’aval. Il faut bien lire les explications de notre hôtel pour trouver l’emplacement et ne pas se fier au GPS comme il nous le disait. C’est bien situé pour aller à pied aux falaises et aux jardins. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et servi dans une belle pièce. Raphaël, sa compagne et leur fils sont très accueillants.

La chambre est fraîche par temps pluvieux et frais comme ce l’était lors de notre passage.

Un endroit calme avec espace vert, dans une ancienne demeure, dans son état, près du centre, 300 m. avec petit parking bien apprécié, par les difficultés d'entrer dans le centre, ou le P est €€€€, difficile et insuffisant. Très bon accueil, pas de TV ni wifi dans les chambres, parfait pour le repos. Petit déj. pour nous, simple, très bon et suffisant, nous ne sommes pas de gros mangeur, suffit de demander, les propriétaires bien sympathiques sont à l'écoute de vos besoins, envie ou tout autre renseignement.
