They were genuinely flexible with us on the booking. We had a reservation, moved it earlier at short notice and turned up the next day - they told us they were actually full, and when I asked, they still made a room possible for us. We then left a day early and they did not charge us for it, and they put a breakfast package together for the drive back down. Up here, where the weather decides your plans and not you, that kind of flexibility is worth more than anything on the room list. The hot water is excellent: run the shower for a minute or two and it is properly hot. The facilities are unusually modern for Omalo, and the location just outside the village puts good hiking routes right at the door.

There is no heating in the rooms at all - none, not weak - so think twice outside high summer. The Wi-Fi covers the restaurant, the main area, outside and part of the upstairs lounge, but does not reach the rooms; a couple of extenders would fix that cheaply. Construction is still going on, so not everything is finished yet. The property sits outside Omalo rather than in it, and the road down is tricky. And set your expectations right: this is a hotel, not a family guest house. Contact with the hosts and between guests is more distant than in the small places. For some people that is exactly what they want - just know which one you are booking.

Quiet, lovely enviroment, far from other places. They make efforts to build a modern, tasteful building, also they have a restaurant. The staff is flexible. The rooms have own bathrooms.

A bit more facilities in the room, for example a chair, and clothes hangers.
