The Gate Hotel Front Pyramids & Sphinx View

Best ever pyramid view.

This hotel is clean and is ideally placed for visiting the pyramids. We stayed 3 nights. First day visit pyramids outside the hotel. Second day the new Egyptian museum , uber about *** ( you need a full day!). Third day the step pyramid, various tombs and imhotep museum Saqqara . (Uber taxi but you need to negotiate to keep them as they don't seem to allow you to walk around the site?) Good selection of breakfast items, if the chef is working he will make you an omelette/ falafel. I can understand the mixed reviews about breakfast, on his day off it was a shambles. Most of the staff work extremely hard whilst some of the younger ones are constantly on their phones. You have to ask for coffee/juice hot water to make tea. They don't offer it, if your lucky hot water and coffee pot maybe out. Good luck finding a cup. Even in the room there was only one cup between 2 people. WiFi was hit n miss in general. Along with paying with credit card in the area. Whilst eating out one day we had to use cash due to no Internet so have a back up. We didnt eat in the hotel in the evenings. The rooms were immaculate but could be noisy from various things ( other guests, kitchen , restaurant, scrapping chairs) Would I recommend yes but if your a light sleeper this isn't the hotel for you. Did I mention location, awesome 👌

Staying at The Gate Hotel Pyramids was an unforgettable experience. Waking up to a direct view of the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx felt unreal and truly once in a lifetime. The rooftop view is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and perfectly positioned to enjoy the historic surroundings. If you want to stay somewhere that puts you right in front of Egypt’s most iconic landmarks, this hotel is a perfect choice.

Christmas in Egypt, we booked a Executive suite with Sphinx View. Arrived in hotel, reception said system error, just have a room without view. We have no choice but accept with a dinner for two and a fruit plate as compensated. After checking the price for a room without view and half board is arround ***, But I paid arround *** for the Sphinx View room. And, we can never stay in a room with Sphinx View for Christmas in Egypt.
