Loved the private free flowing onsen in the room. Also really enjoyed the bookable private sauna and onsen at the accomodation. Room was a great size. Loved the traditional ryokan clothing. Really liked trying the traditional Japanese breakfast and was grateful that the staff were able to accommodate a vegetarian diet. Staff were very friendly. Definitely would love to come back again. Also was surprised to see the Japanese winter monkeys roaming around just outside the accomodation.
Parking requires going up very steep hills (which is only an issue if you have a car) and is slippery when wet but plenty of parking available.

The free drinks and food were a surprise
A little too quiet in that end of town
