The hotel is very close to restaurants and bars, and the colonial home is beautiful.
There were a lot of stairs up to the room, but staff helped with luggage. There was no concierge on staff, only a 24 hour gate attendant.

the facade of the building is gorgeous. our room was missing light bulbs and there wasn't much in the way of services. Safety and the guys at the gate (Nestor and Carlos) were great. Room clean for sure and bed cozy.
we had just come from an very lovely place in Oaxaca so the place felt like a let down vs. what you see on line.
Better coffee in the morning.

The accommodation itself is a very beautiful, a grand staircase and lovely rest areas to work or just soak up the vibe of the house. Lots of storage space in the room itself. Great location in Polanco, surrounded by an excellent choice of cafe's, bars and restaurants. Lincoln Park and Chapultepec just a short stroll away.
Unfortunately there is no elevator so getting your heavy luggage up the stairwell can be a challenge. Some of the rooms were being renovated and the noise was quite loud (typical of Mexico). No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. There is a room for making your own brew but this was not explained to us when we arrived.

Clean and great ambiance.
Coffee machine complicated and no written instructions. Should put out a daily selection of rolls, butter, and jam. No towel hooks in shower. No hair dryer.

The house is dripping with charm. With just five (?) rooms, it feels extremely intimate. The foyer and stair are gorgeous, and the rooms are huge. The location could not be any better: ground zero for Polanco's restaurant and bar scene; and walking distance to many major sights, including Chapultapec Park and Museums. The 24/7 guard and walled perimeter add a layer of security (though CDMX is relatively safe these days).
The only two things I'd offer for improvement include the pantry/coffee area, and the acoustics. While there's a coffee machine that can do espresso and capuccinos/lattes, the small fridge provided for milk was empty half the time. Meaning, they provided the machine but not the ingredients. Should be checked more often. Re: acoustics, the total lack of carpet or other absorptive materials means any guests coming in or talking in the public spaces at night transmit straight into the rooms, disrupting sleep or privacy. Rugs should fix that!

Central location. Beautiful Colonial house. Amazing decor inside & out in common areas. Beautiful gardens. Nice touch with chocolates, cookies, tea & coffee. Security guard was very helpful.
Inside room very basic, ikea type furniture did not match the property or the cost. No glasses or cups in room. Open plan dresser & no closet. No safe

Wonderful facilities and charming "old style" ambience. The location is perfect to wander about Polanco and all the way to Castillo de Chapultepec. Very safe also.
The guards could be nicer, they are not mean or anything, just meh.

Excellent price-quality relationship. The hotel is a beautiful old house. Rooms feel fresh, with flat tv with netflix and AC. There is a life saviour complimentary expresso machine in the lobby.

Central location,Very close to a bunch of restaurants. The person at the entrance nice and courteous.
There was no breakfast. there was the possibility to make coffee and tea and get a small muffin, but nothing more.
It is not a big problem as around the corner there are many coffee shops and patisseries, though.

This house is a gem in Polanco. It is beautiful, historic, modern, an true oasis! We spent four nights here and hope to return soon. The house has 9 rooms and it is very quiet. The room we had, Fortuna, was huge and full of light. Nestor, at the door, gave us good tips and was super friendly, especially that first night when we showed up at midnight! Great house, great neighborhood!
I wish they offered breakfast or allowed the use of the kitchen.

Best location in the center of Polanco. It's a safe neighborhood. You can walk everywhere; to restaurants, stores, cafes, and bars without a problem. The house is beautiful, clean and quiet. The staff was great!
The coffee machine didn't work

The location and the villa was beautiful. Friendly stuff and we could park our car even inside the gated front yard for a small fee. The room was elegant.
The bathroom didn’t have enough towels for two people. No mirror lights for putting make up. It was a little dark and no privacy if you use the bathroom because it’s just a glass room, which probably was added later on. Also if you come from an other country bed and breakfast means, that you really get breakfast. This didn’t have it.

very far from what can be defined a boutique Hotel, no services at all, breakfst not existing, poor and really out of the order, water in the room in a container open, how can you think a stranger could arrive in Mexico and use water out of a closed bottle? really unsatisfied, the difficultied then is to talk to someone which can help or support, too expensive for the services given, nothing to say about the bed or the room itself, but all the surround very very poor. still waiting the invoice which I asked 10 times. no reply at all. brMRIZZI

Great area with good restaurants a walk around the corner. Absolutely beautiful building inside and out and the room was large with a very comfortable bed. WIFI perfect. Good coffee and madelene to fill a hole before heading out for food.
As a woman travelling solo, I felt safe but would have felt happier not standing on the street waiting for security to answer the door bell in the dark.

We are well seasoned travelers and don’t gush over properties as much as we use to, but this is the exception. This property had so many great things going for it. The location is wonderful, right in the middle of Polanco. Upscale beauty yet quiet and inviting. First your met by a 24 hour guard. We were met by Jose Luis. Friendly and so helpful. We were shown our room which was fantastic. It is spacious yet cozy. The king size bed was so comfortable and had luxurious bedding sheets and pillows. A mini fridge in the room was such an added bonus. The bathroom is part of the room but it was equipped with mirrored glass so privacy isn’t an issue. The shower had rainfall shower head but great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The product provided, shampoo and shower soap were of good quality. If you need conditioner or body lotion bring your own…I always do because I prefer my own brands. Towels were great size and quality. A great little thing that we hadn’t seen before was the tv was behind a smoked mirror. It didn’t interfere with watching the tv, yet aesthetically was a great feature. Plenty of places to unpack and a small desk too. The property grounds are immaculate and a small area is provided with a coffee machine and hot water for a morning cup of tea. We were steps away from a plethora of restaurants and shops and the parks and museums. We will return gladly over and over to Casa Amari.
Absolutely nothing

The house is gorgeous and extremely clean. The staff was very attentive with us. We loved the location. Everything is a 5 minute walk.
I would add a phone in the room to communicate with the staff.

A classy quiet haven in CDMX. Sebastien & Jose Luis (reception) and Alejandra ( housekeeping) deserve a shout out.

This is the perfect location in Polanco-a quiet street just 1/2 block frim Lincoln Park and another block to the very walkable, high end area called Polanquito with multiple and varied sidewalk cafes. Ave. Masaryk is a 1/2 block the other direction with top designer shops.
This converted home is a very romantic setting and at a bargain price.
We liked everything, but others should be aware that there is no food service, only a nice self service coffee, tea bar with gratis dougnuts and cakes.
