ihorrible. wish i thought to take photos before cleaning the place myself, disgusting

stains everywhere. fridge had spillages in it. microwave dirty. floor sticky and filthy. i had to clean the fridge before i could put food in. hasn’t been hoovered in a long time too! its mid January and the christmas tree rubbish is still on floor?!!!

Lovely place to stay!

Really lovely accommodation, nice and clean. Kitchen was stocked with all the utensils we’d need. Lovely comfy beds and as we are a family of five with a toddler there was plenty of space for us all. The games in the bedroom wardrobe were a lovely touch to keep the kiddos amused!

Has potential, needs money spending on a few little bits to make the place nice

Was a tired holiday home, it had cupboard doors falling off, the fridge door shelves were broken, Lino in most rooms was lifting, not yet a trip hazard but not far off. The towel hook in the bathroom was missing leaving a sharp edges fitting only, no blind in the bathroom as previously been removed, poor silicone repairs in bathroom looked tatty, the steps leading the the front door were loose and will likely collapse on someone, we had no internet at any point whilst at the home, owner stated he tried to fix, but to no avail and no apologies or tefunds

Overall we really enjoyed our family stay with the site amenities of the playground, pub and lake

Location is terrific for the coast and all areas of Northumberland . The site is quiet and well presented . There is a site pub The Crazy Horse which offers very pleasant hospitable family food and family entertainment. The living accommodation space is really good as were the bedrooms . Good shower - powerful, hot and clean . The table was a good size for our family. The overall grey colour scheme was pleasant. The outside balcony / patio was a good size and offered a pleasing place to sit in the sun with outside table and chairs

The kitchen was EXTREMELY basic and lacked cutting knives and other normal kitchen utensils - NO pan lids and one heat resistant glass cooking dish, one small not very sharp knife- there were NO egg cups and only one tea sized plate. We would really have loved a small dishwasher!! (They’re not that expensive !) Additionally the external steps into the lodge were unstable and we had to be extremely careful as we had children and senior citizens who found the steps a challenge. They really need immediate attention as also the lack of kitchen equipment as this impacted massively when preparing family dinner and breakfast - a priority for us when there’s a family members with food allergies. We are sorry to have to say have never been in such a poorly equipped kitchen.

We enjoyed our short stay but were disappointed with the caravan overall.

The location was good, the bathroom/shower was good. Towels and bedding provided. The main bedroom was spacious and comfy. Plenty of sockets. Wifi included (but very slow 1mb up/down). Smart TV. Good central heating.

This is a purely objective review and I've highlighted some of the issues that need to be addressed. The open steps into the caravan were not attached on one side and wobbled when you stepped on them. The broom cupboard door needs the top hinge repaired/replaced as it doesn't close properly. The fridge, whilst nice and cold, does not have a 'bottle' tray in the door. There was cheese under the cheese grater box. Most of the faults were relatively minor and could be easily fixed.

Relaxing

Extremely clean and to me that's Very important. Bed's comfortable and plenty of clean towels And kitchen utensils. Sofa was Very comfortable in a spacious living room and where you can play board games (which we did) The pub/arcade is not far to walk to on the site and food is nice and service with a smile. Lovely clean park for the kid's and peaceful surroundings. Relaxing place to be, we could of stayed longer.

The WiFi took a while to get on...was Very bad signal, Just be patient.

One night stop over

Cherry Blossom Retreat was beautifully situated on a quiet site with perfect accomodation for our needs whilst competing at a show nearby. Modern tasteful interior with a good shower.

Despite first impressions of the kitchen looking clean, when we turned on the oven the reek was eye watering and we couldn't get the extractor to work. We also had to wash the plates and glasses before we could use them. This was a pity as everything else was perfect about our stay.

Area of caravan is great the rest not so great.

The location of property was great. The caravan was cleaned and The Area is great so many things to do around.

The actual property is old and it looks like nobody is actually making any changes to it I have read all the reviews and all the stuff that needs to get done wasn’t fixed like the steps to the caravan. There is nearly nothing in the kitchen the pans etc are not usable they are old and used. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and used. Sofa was extremely low but I do understand that they can’t put a different one in. The TV and WIFI aren’t working at all.

Great location to explore the Northumberland coast. Host responded quickly to queries. Great shower

Unfortunately some of the dishes were dirty. The sofa was really uncomfortable and extremely over used, it only sat 4 people , given this property slept 6 people there was not enough seats for us all sit in the livingroom to watch tv. Internet was very slow and did not work for a few hours when we first arrived. The two bedrooms with single beds were very small singles and not suitable for anyone over the age of 10 years old. The information pack provided needs updated (wrong Wi-Fi password). Property presented rather run down.

Overnight stay

Pros - great sized caravan and lovely decor, sleeps up to 6 but was ideal for us (3 adults and 1 child). Beds nice and comfy and well kitted out kitchen with tea, coffee and sugar provided. Cons - we couldn't find any recommendations for eateries in the local area within the information provided. There was a thermostat to adjust the heating, however, the instructions provided suggested adjusting directly at the boiler. Carpet in the living room needs cleaning (noticeable as my daughter is crawling). One bolt has started to come lose that secures the steps to the caravan so felt this was a little unsafe.

Lovely area brilliant location all round excellent over night stay .

It was easy to access straight inside without waiting around for keys. Clean and tidy nice touch was coffee tea and sugar room for everything bags & clothes Peaceful surroundings

No long mirror so we had to keep going into main bedroom to do hair and make up. I can’t fault the place so there wasn’t t things I didn’t like.

Will stay again. Home from home

Homely, clean, Christmas tree was a nice touch. Very spacious, warm and loved that their was WiFi (teenage kids were amazed) also loved that their was games and colouring materials (little ones loved it!) Happy kids, happy mum.

Sofa is very low. And not the comfiest. I knew this before booking from reading previous reviews. For just the one night it wasn't that much of an issue but having spinal issues myself I would struggle to spend a week with such a low sofa. Otherwise the accommodation is amazing

Fairly disappointed

The area is lovely.

There was one cupboard handle missing, and another above the bed hanging off, I was worried it was going to fall on me through the night. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable, which led to all four of us having very little sleep. I found extra pillows in the cupboard but they had no covers on them.There were dirty cutlery, glasses, mugs and plates. The next morning the smoke detector kept going off every ten minutes from 7am, we kept pressing the button but it kept going off. We didn't cook anything and there was no smoke at all. This led to us leaving earlier than planned as we were all on edge and our dog was a nervous wreck. Unfortunately I do not feel this was good value for money, this was a treat for myself and my family and we were left quite disappointed.

Exceptional

Had the most amazing stay . Very clean and cosy . Perfect for the children. Little bar and shop on site , with also a fantastic park . A large family bar and restaurant 5 minutes walk away. Northumberland zoo just around the corner to. Great weekend and will definitely be returning and recommending . Owners really helped when leaving to !

The weather poored all weekend but didn't stop us having a great time and got thick of mud !
