Ottaviano Suites

This is an OG room rental situation, NOT a hotel. I say this because we weren't sure what to expect. Definitely recommend reading all the directions they send before arriving. When you pass the 2 Chinese restaurants you're just about at the door. It is truly typical Italian with vaulted ceilings and shutters on the windows. This room had access to a shared kitchen with a large fridge and laundry and also included a fridge in the room. It also had an individual room a/c and a standing fan. The bed was quite comfortable as well. It is perfectly situated near the Ottoviano Metro stop and a very easy walk to St. Peter's Square and the Vatican Museums. Our contact was prompt and provided extra linens upon request.

When you first enter the room had a bit of a "dry drain" smell. As we used the facilities that odor was much reduced. The shower is also quite tiny, but the overall features of the room we top rate.

The location was very nice to be close to the Vatican but not too close. We had a great breakfast spot right below our apartment, and it was an easy block away from the closest metro station as well. Our beds were so comfortable, and it was neat to stay in an apartment instead of a hotel.

There is not much we didn't like - they provided a mini fridge and soap for both the shower and the washer, and that's about all we needed.

Era una habitación con mucha luz, amplia y una cama muy cómoda. En la zona muchas tiendas y restaurantes. Un gran ambiente.

The best thing is the location. Only a few blocks away from the Vatican. The internet worked pretty well most of the time.

We didn't like the shared kitchen. Another guest broke a glass and DIDN'T pick it up. My wife almost cut her foot really badly. I know this is not the owner's fault but still thought I should point it out because our conclusion was to just NEVER book another place with a shared kitchen. We were told before hand there was a nespresso machine so we bought a bunch of capsules. When we arrived the machine was nowhere to be found and the owners said it was being 'repaired'. According to the maid there had never been a nespresso machine so... Not sure what to think, but definitely NOT the best experience.
