Central Vatican Rooms

the location was excellent, very near the Vatican and St Peters just a stroll away. The rooms are generous with high ceilings in a very historic building. The room was very clean with a modern bathroom. There was a shared kitchen which we did not realise between the three rooms- so if you wanted to prepare food you could do.

The Room needed issues sorting out. We were first notified the air conditioning wasn't working before we arrived, luckily this was resolved. The safe did not work which we reported to the person managing it, and were told we were going to take them out anyway. The room wall fridge did not work either. The shower head had jets missing so we could not use the rain shower, however the hand held attachement was fine. Various bulbs had blown. City tax in Rome is 7 euros per night per guest so you have to add this on to your overall costs. Pillows were very hard and uncomfortable

The location was very good and close to vatican and shops and the metro. The room is spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. Although the kitchen was a shared facility it was well equipped and suitable for our needs. Thank you for the umbrellas and cookies.

The lift to the fourth floor was very cloisterphobic and old. We however enjoyed the stairs for good excercise. Unfortunately the bathroom does not have a door and no hooks to hang any jackets or coats. The coat hangers are also very high up in the cupboard so quite tricky.
