Lovely Place Near Old Town

Great location, just outside of old town Pile gate, you can walk into old town in few minutes. There are bus stop, taxi stop and tourist information office, grocery nearby. Lovely deco, feels like home, very comfy bed. Nice view of old town from the window.

(1) There are 20-30 stairs to go up to reach the entrance, I had a big suitcase, so it was a bit workout to go up and down, but this is common for staying near old town in Dubrovnik, not the property's fault. (2) You need to contact the property agent, then they let the host know that you arrived. I ended up waiting outside for a while (luckily no rain) and had to call the agent on mobile because they were bit slow to respond on Booking.com app. After check-in, you can directly contact host on WhatsApp which has no issues.

Great location and a good room.

Great location and comfortable bed but the sheet was not big enough for two people. We played tug-of-war most night.

The check in process did not work. We arrived late 10:30 pm and tried to message the host numerous times and they did not respond. Stood outside a locked door in the dark. We called and thankfully reached someone after our 4th try. Make sure you get the check in instructions.

Dubrovnik was so fabulous

Breakfast was not included however the location was great. Old city very close, and buses. We could see other Tourists walking the wall. The Terrace was great space to sit and enjoy a glass of wine.

Perfect

Couldn’t ask for a better location, the property was right outside the entrance into the old town. Very clean room with beautiful decoration and view over the ocean. Highly recommend staying here. Host was also very friendly.

Could not think of a better place to stay in Dubrovnik.

Clean, spacious and bright. Peacefully located outside the confines of the old city but only a minute to the Pile Gate. Buses and taxis are just down the steps. View of Dubrovnik and fortress and the sea were spectacular to wake to. Restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Hilton Hotel close-by for a very good value dinner or coffee.

This property is for the young or people who are traveling very light. I would not stay there again

There are no meals. Location was very near the Old City.

The old city is in a no car zone. Rooms Posat is not accessible by car. When the taxi will drop us off we were surprise that he could not drop us at the property and that we had to walk about 2 minutes to some 37 steps (I counted them) up with our luggage (there were 4 of us in our late 70's) with no help to the entrance and then another 20 steps up to the rooms. Again no help. The rooms are very basic.

Very clean and nice looking room, with all facilities. Just outside of Pile Gate -- superb location, walk to old town, taxi stand, tour pickup point, in a minute. Very convenient and good value for money!!

The road is just a series of small steps up (luckily it's #1), and some stairs in buildings. We know about this and all places in old town are like this, it's just bad for our super heavy luggages. Room is a bit on small side.

Fabulous room - it was very tasteful with individual charm and lovely old wooden shutters. Everything was spotlessly clean, good linens and modern shower room. The host lovely and had really thought of and provided everything to make the stay perfect - a fridge, kettle, cabinet with some crockery and cutlery ( (enough for breakfast/snacks), some tea/coffee sachets, toiletries etc The location was perfect, only a few steps up from the Old Town main gate and 5 mins from the little dock and beach. Perfect for a short break.

Room location and views were terrific. Clean room. Very limited interaction with owner but she was very pleasant when we arrived. Cleaning was not included in price but plenty of towels, shampoos etc.

Incredible place to stay and the location is perfect.

Our host was incredibly welcoming and attentive. She waited for us even though we were late due to some traffic that we encountered. She also provided us with an adapter during our stay.

The best place to stay in Dubrovnik!

the property is prime location of Dubrovnik; on the steps of old town with amazing views of the ocean. the staff were so wonderful and made it so easy to communicate with and gave detailed instructions on how to find the place. the rooms were clean and well stocked and the bed was extremely comfortable. would recommend it to all my friends and family who are travelling to Dubrovnik.

We really enjoyed our stay in Rooms Posat. The room looks really nice and has a big bed with a lovely matrass. The shower/bath was really good too. The location of the room is perfect, really close to the old city center. I would really recommend this place!

Great hospitality!

The room was awesome. It was beautiful and so was the terrace. Our host was so kind. She even arranged very early transportation for us to the airport. My only regret is not staying here longer. It is also very centrally located. A stones throw away from bars, restaurants, and tourist hot spots

Great place outside the city walls

The location is perfect, just outside the city walls. You have to climb some stairs, but it is still probably one of the best options in the neighborhood. We loved eating breakfasts and suppers at the terrace with a view to the city. It was also great that there is lots of space for our one year old to train his moves :) the bed is super large, perfect even if the baby was sleeping with us. The owners are very helpful and they live below.

A room is a bit small. We wish there was a baby bed available, but fortunately the owner was kind enough to lend us her personal small mattress so we were able to craft a small crib between a bed and a wall, which was helpful if we wanted to spend some time at the patio outside when the baby was already asleep. Also the hosts use the automatic mailing system, which I guess makes it much easier for them to organize everything but it took time to get a reply for the actual questions.

Great host and great location!

The location couldn’t be better just in front of the main entrance to the old town. The room was extremely clean and beds were comfortable. Lea, the responsible one of the place, was very helpful letting us leave our luggage after checkout time and organizing our transfer to airport. Definitely we would comeback. 🙂

True Dubrovnik experience

Minutes from Pile gate! View from the room is directly over the walled city. Rooms were very tastefully done. Courtyard was very inviting. The hostess, Tea, was lovely.

Parking is exceptionally difficult. There really was no way to drop bags nearby before doing so. We wound up 150+ steps above the apartment and some distance away, still at a high cost. This was made worse by the heat (~35C), both for stair-climbing and sleeping, as one of the two AC units was weak.

Super convenient location; we were just in Dubrovnik one night and it was perfect spot for us - right next to the old town but very easy access to a taxi to get to the ferry terminal. Facilities were neat and tidy. A perfect spot for us.

Excellent, worths its cost

Everything was just perfect. The host was kind and was trying to help us in everything. She also advised us the good free place for parking and restaurants. Room was clean and cosy. There is very beautiful view on the old town walls, everything is near to the apartment. It was very nice for us to be able to use the terrase with the green garden and to meet a turtule in it.

Handle in the bathroom may be fixed as it is opening hard.

Le charme d'une maison traditionnelle en zone interdite pour les voitures

La maison est belle et ne peut pas être plus près de la Citadelle. C'est une maison traditionnelle sur la colline, au-dessus du restaurant Posat. Donc une cinquantaine de marches avant d'atteindre la chambre. Tout à fait bien placée. Sauf quand on vient en voiture. Une fois la voiture placée dans un parking à 3 kilomètres environ dans les hauteurs (25€ la journée), c'était un bonheur de parcourir la cité, prendre le bateau pour Caftat si paisible, passer de l'autre côté de la citadelle du côté des musées. La chambre était haute de plafond, bien aménagée, confortable, le lit spacieux, la maison très tranquille malgré les propriétaires dessous au niveau de la terrasse. Les escaliers sur le côté, beaucoup moins tranquilles, les touristes les empruntant en nombre et parfois bruyamment. Dubrovnik est devenue trop touristique. Les fenêtres donnaient sur la citadelle en différents points, superbes, la mer en un point , la chambre lumineuse. Se méfier de certains restaurants dans les ruelles avec plein d'images. Dhiarrée parfois garantie. Juste en face avec une terrasse sur la mer, le Restaurant Gradska Kavana Arsenal a des plats délicieux, une belle présentation pour des prix raisonnables

Trouver la maison a été un cauchemar. La voiture s'est faite flascher aussitôt arrivés. Un quartier pour les seuls résidents! Nous sommes allés chercher un parking juste à la limite de la zone non permise, à 1km au-dessus sur la grande avenue au-dessus des escaliers. "Le meilleur du parking" n'affichant pas clairement ses tarifs : le GLAVICA DUBROVNIK GARAGE. A fuir. Heureusement que nous sommes allés vérifier avec le ticket le lendemain. Pour un jour, cela nous a coûté 175€! Du vol! Difficile de trouver une ville sympathique après ça. Un norvégien en avait pour 38€ pour trois heures. Et je pense que la propriétaire pourrait alerter de ces faits quand elle apprend que l'on vient en voiture,, comme c'était le cas... Il nous a fallu prendre des taxis pour les bagages Nous restions 4 jours. Si vous voulez vous lancer en voiture, il y a donc Le Azori au 26 VUKOVARSKA qui affiche avec honnêteté. Le départ à 10h le matin le dernier jour était insupportable aussi . J'ai oublié des affaires .Je n'ai pas voulu y retourner
