Sehr netter Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber. Hat einen Flughafen Transfer organisiert und mich am Pile Tor (nur bis dorthin kann ein Auto fahren) abgeholt und zur Unterkunft begleitet. Auf dem Weg dorthin noch eine kleine Stadtführung bekommen. Der Gastgeber hat auch viele hilfreiche Tipps im Hinblick auf die Besichtigung der Stadt gegeben, ob es Sinn macht, den Dubrovnik Pass zu kaufen etc. Die Unterkunft selbst liegt sehr günstig in der Nähe des Pile Tors, was deshalb wichtig ist, weil man ansonsten mit Gepäck eventuell viele Treppen zurücklegen muss. Dies ist hier nicht der Fall. (wobei der Gastgeber trotz meines Protestes darauf bestanden hat, den Koffer zu tragen, insofern wäre auch das kein Problem gewesen.) Trotz der zentralen Lage ist es bei geschlossenen Fenster sehr ruhig in der Wohnung. Gut funktionierende und einstellbare Klimaanlage. Ein kleiner Kühlschrank war ebenfalls vorhanden.

The guy who welcomed us was very cordial and informative. Provided us with a map of the area and explained a few things for us.

The room was very basic and small. The furniture feels a bit outdated. I booked in 5 other places in Croatia, including another place in Dubrovnick for my return and unfortunately this room did not meet my expectations. The clothes closet/cabinet needs to be attached to the wall. It almost fell on us a couple of times. As others have mentioned, the mattress is hard, the shower needs a wall or curtain, and the fridge is miniscule.
