Lush Porthcawl Large Spacious 2 bedroom Apt, Garden, Prime Location

Lovely apartment. Very clean and comfortable. Close to the sea front and an excellent Co- op supermarket just around the corner. Beds were comfortable and quiet due to them being at the back of the property.

Parking issues. We couldn't park anywhere near the property, one night we were over a 15 min walk away. This would have been really difficult in bad weather carrying cases etc. Parking sometimes took us 15 mins to find.

Although it was advertised as a ‘luxury’ apartment (with a price tag to match), what the description omits to mention is that the twin room doesn’t have an external window or any form of ventilation making it completely unsuitable as a bedroom unless you like sleeping in a hot, airless box. I eventually moved to the sofa bed in the kitchen/living area which was unfortunately just as bad but for different reasons – because the downpipe on the front of the property had become detached from the gutter, I was kept awake by a torrent of water hammering noisily on the top of the bin just outside the window (there were heavy showers throughout the night we stayed). To make matters worse, the sofa bed didn’t fold down flat and was therefore very uncomfortable. The double bedroom at least had an external window. However, what it didn’t have was a blind or curtain over the glass panel in the door leading to the back yard, meaning that the room was flooded by light at dawn making it difficult to sleep past 4.30am. Other (less significant) issues included the fact that it wasn’t possible to get live terrestrial channels on the TV, neither bedroom had any storage space for clothes apart from a small clothes rail and the fact that the oven hadn’t been cleaned properly (foil had just been placed on top of greasy grill trays). Also, the property doesn't have ‘on-site parking’ as advertised – the closest parking spot we could get was several hundred yards away on a different street. Although we had booked to stay for 2 nights, we decided to cut our losses after one sleepless night and booked ourselves into a hotel for the second night. After getting home I messaged the owners outlining the problems and politely suggesting that it might be appropriate to be offered a refund for the night we didn't stay. It's now been five days and no response or acknowledgement has been received. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience!

Everything about our stay here was perfect. The excellent communication from our hosts made arriving and getting into the apartment very easy. The apartment itself is amazing. It is very large in size, immaculately clean, has great WiFi and very well equipped. There was lots of lovely welcoming extras such as a complementary basket of biscuits, sugar,tea and coffee sachets and a very helpful and thoughtfully put together folder of everything you need to know about your stay and the area. The location of the apartment is perfect very close to the shops and beach. Would highly recommend staying here.

Very clean apartment with a lot of included amenities such as the washer/dryer combo with provided laundry pods. The host is also very responsive to your questions and provide a booklet with lots of info.

The WiFi didn't reach the back bedroom at times so could have benefited from a wifi extender/booster.

The bath didn’t drain so we were showering ankle deep in Sandy water. The lock on the bathroom door also managed to lock itself with no one inside but we managed to unlock it with a hair grip!! Very minor issues and didn’t effect our stay
