Olive Tree Cottage

Beautiful cottage with well equipped kitchen and large comfortable bed. Near Rye . Would highly recommend

The cottage was exactly as advertised in the images and was clean on arrival. We loved the courtyard at the back of the property, complete with a pond, hammock-style chair, three gorgeous olive trees and a table & chairs. We spent the majority of our time soaking up the sun outside! The kitchen was well-stocked and we appreciated the bread, eggs, milks and two beers left for us. Our host, Will, was friendly and accommodating and was always on-hand to answer any questions we might have. The property itself is in Playden and it is about a 25-30 minute walk into the centre of Rye. We didn't have a car so relied on taxis or walked to get around.

Nothing - we loved our stay!

We felt at home here. Olive Cottage is interesting and intriguing. It had everything we needed and the bed is the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in! Good shower and bathroom off the bedroom. The courtyard garden is a work in progress that is almost done. A few strings of lights across the olive trees and a tidy up for summer is all it needs. The private parking is such a bonus! Will was helpful and kind and we appreciated the eggs, bread and Maltesers. Location is great for Rye and surrounding villages to explore. We particularly enjoyed The Lemon Grass Thai restaurant in Rye.

Not much at all. Come and stay and make your own mind up. It suited us down to the ground. A home for home.

Very comfortable and clean. Fully equipped with little homely extras that made our stay even better. Bed was super comfy. The host answered our one query very quickly.

The electrics are a little dodgy ( a few flashing lights), but this didn’t spoil our stay. And the blinds are a little tired.
