Central location in Rye meant you were literally a minute from the shops. Parking for three cars was very useful. Very characterful property. Nice to have outdoor seating.
The spiral staircase is a little awkward. The mattress was a bit hard and springy but if you had a soft mattress someone probably wouldn't like that so to some extent you can't please everyone all the time.

The property was very spacious for a group of 6 ladies. It was in an excellent location all amenities very close by. We loved the character of this old building.
The bedrooms could have bigger mirrors, The lighting in one of the bathrooms was very dark, some bulbs were not working. It was good to have a dishwasher but unfortunately we were not able to use it as there wasn't any dishwasher tablets.

Fantastic location, great character property with loads of space plus a pretty garden.
Two of the bedrooms were up a spiral staircase luckily two of the guests were pretty agile but several of the group were older and couldn’t have managed the stairs.

Beautiful period house in a fantastic location in the middle of Rye with good parking. We loved the two big sitting rooms and well-equipped kitchen and the garden looked lovely (rain stopped us using it, sadly).
Given the premium price we paid, we were very disappointed by the bedrooms. Three of the beds were up a narrow spiral staircase that lead to an open mezzanine and twin room. The beds were small (for children, really) and uncomfortable and the thought of negotiating the stairs in the middle of the night to reach the nearest bathroom meant two of our party slept on the sofas in the sitting room and two of us took the small double meant for one.
Also the shower room on the ground floor wasn’t clean. Black mould staining on the shower cubicle meant we didn’t use it.
