Cakemuir Detached House, 3 Bed, Free parking &Private Garden

Good parking lot, a little bit far from center but direct bus station nearby. Close to supermarkets (Lidl, Tesco) so it was easy to prepare breakfast. Enough space for 3 families. Close to Little France park and Cakemuir castel - great morning walk

The shower hose in one of the bathrooms was missing and the host insisted not to purchase and use one, although on Booking picture there was one. They said to use only one shower for 3 families, or to take a bath... After long discussion instead of solving the problem they took the Booking picture down! One of the hair dryier was not working. The tea kettle was so dirty we couldn't use. There is no dryer, so we could not use the washing machine as there was no place to dry the clothes. There are no hangers for towels, so it was difficult to dry them. The pillows are hard. There are no curtains for windows, just some roller blinds which are more difficult to use. The emergency light in the hall is so bright that it wakes you if you go to the bathroom during night.

Property was perfectly located and was in excellent condition. Enjoyed our stay, highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Cakemuir Detached House. The house was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable for our group. The beds were excellent, the kitchen was well equipped, and the private garden was a lovely bonus after long days exploring Edinburgh. The location was peaceful and quiet, yet still convenient for visiting the city centre and nearby attractions. Communication with the host was friendly, quick, and helpful throughout our stay. Everything felt welcoming and thoughtfully prepared.

Honestly, very little to complain about. If we had to mention something, it would only be that we wish we could have stayed longer.

Po przylocie nie było dostępu do wody – pojawiła się dopiero następnego dnia po południu, co było dla nas bardzo niekomfortowe, ponieważ nie mogliśmy się wykąpać ani normalnie funkcjonować, korzystać z toalety. Właścicielka co prawda przyjechała po kilku telefonach w nocy i dostarczyła butelkowaną wodę, za co byliśmy chwilowo wdzięczni, jednak sytuacja była uciążliwa. Następnego dnia, podczas naszej nieobecności, weszła do apartamentu, aby sprawdzić stan instalacji, a następnie zabrała wcześniej dostarczoną wodę. 🫣
