Lovely Roomy Apartment in Good Location fo the City

Great location spacious warm with a well equipped kitchen. Plenty of room for 6 people to relax after a long day sightseeing.

You'd be daft not to stay

Robert was incredibly responsive, accommodating, kind and thoughtful. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and met our needs brilliantly. The location was fabulous, with a pleasant stroll or short bus ride into the city centre. Lots of choice for eating out, and a local coop or Sainsbury's for eating in. Everything was clean and tidy, with thoughtful touches like board games and biscuits making us feel welcome. Highly recommend and plan to stay again next time we're in town (if we're lucky and it isn't booked up).

Fabulous

The location was fabulous and standard of accommodation was good. The spacious kitchen/ diner/ sitting room was gorgeous and accommodated 5 of us easily. The flat was very well equipped and the location was super.

The wifi didn’t work in the back bedrooms so may be a booster to get the signal to the back rooms.

Large apartment in bustling neighborhood, meets most needs, a bit overpriced.

Host was very accommodating with letting us arrive early after a long overnight flight. We lounged in the living room while he finished his cleaning. It was very appreciated as we were exhausted. Apartment is huge with lots of windows looking out over the street. Lots of room for our group of five. Kitchen was incredibly equipped with lots of glasses, plates, etc. and lots of condiments left by previous guests. Bathrooms had toiletries left by guests, so not provided by host as assumed they would be, but they appeared clean and nice quality so we used them. Beds were comfy, towels were decent although limited in quantity. Large living room with 3 couches worked well for our group of five. Two bedrooms were ensuite, the third had a separate shower room and separate toilet room across from it through a central foyer within the apt. so that wasn't private. Bathrooms were clean and bright but had elevated baths with no shower bars or bath mats so could be tricky for some. Water pressure and hot water was abundant.

Entry into the building was terrible. It was dirty, poorly lit and required a very long set of stairs to get to the first floor (closer to 1 1/2 stories high). There were building materials scattered in odd places, old bicycles and a lack of lighting making it off putting at night. Through the front gate was a small set of steps and a landing before the front door to the building. A dog or person left a large pile of excrement in the corner next to the door and it stayed there for two days of our stay and was there when we left. No one is managing the entryway or stairwells and it shows. The area has some homeless folks and this is likely why this mess was made as I can't imagine anyone walking their dog into this tiny entry area. Neighborhood is busy, full of commuters and students and businesses are okay, nothing special, mostly catering to college crowd. The furniture is dated (10-15 yrs. old) and the couches weren't soft to the touch.

Great flat for exploring Edinburgh

The flat was in a great location, about 10min walk into the centre, though lots of buses available if needed. Though the doorway to the flat could do with cleaning, the flat itself was great. Lovely large rooms. Bedrooms are not at the front which was good, as the front street is very busy. Would definitely use again.

Some of the windows needed a bit of brute force to open, probably not usually needed, but it was a hot weekend when we visited. My father would have liked a teapot, but he is very fussy. We didn't bother Robert with this but maybe one could be added. (None of these would stop us re-booking)

Brilliant, absolutely recommend.

Absolutely perfect place. It was nice and cosy, very massive. Everything we needed readily available, shops very nearby, bus stop right next to the door, yet the property was quiet, very good places to eat nearby too.

Beautiful spacious and comfortable apartment.. well appointed with good facilities. ( shelf in the rear bathroom under mirror would be nice though)..truly lovely and comfortable apartment. Great location and surprisingly quiet.

Be useful to know where thermostat is as felt.wrong to have windows open when clearly heating on.

Great apartment, terrible lock with faulty latch mechanism.

Very spacious apartment, nicely decorated, plenty of bathrooms.

The door has a latch where its possible to close the door and it be locked from the inside. Unfortunately this happened to us and we were locked out of the apartment until 5am. It sounded like this has happened to previous guests too. I recommend you invest in a better lock, you should not be able to close a door when the latch is on, or at least turning the key should open it. We had to kick the door down to get in (as recommended by the apartment owner/manager)

Outstanding location near the university campus. The apartment is very spacious with large bedrooms and a huge living room/ kitchen space. Lots of great restaurants and coffeeshops near by. Robert was a responsive and communicative host.

Five of us as a family traveled from Ushuaia, the end of the world, and we could not have found a better place to rest and walk around Edinburgh. "The Heart" is beautiful, really huge and comfortable, and it is located to be able to explore the old center on foot. The host's kindness and good will make our experience 100% recommendable.

In a traveler's humor mood, what could be better is to stay two more days.
