Great location and staff
The bed was uncomfortable and the noise was really bad from the students until 3am
5.0 / 10.0
The room itself was clean and comfortable enough. There were missing items such as toilet roll and a decent towel (1 hand towel was provided) bath mat etc.
The communal areas such as the hallway and lifts were very dirty.
The students staying in the building were loud in the hallways, Running around and screaming through the night.

Fairly close to centre
Room wasn't ready no staff to help on arrival took an hour of mayhem before anyone knew what was going on. Had to check into another hotel for the night as a reault as was late night.. Zero sympathy given ir refund on that. Had to clean the room myself on arrival dirty towels, toilet and bedding had to clean all at my own incovenice and expense.
Rooms look nothing like the pictures grotty filthy and bashed up. It's full of noisy loud students running around the corridors all night setting off the fire alarm every two mins.
Total waste of money, don't bother with it.

Only the location
The maintence the bed was too bad

Ample facilities such as
Gym, Communal Kitchen & Dining and a reception to borrow DVDs, Games and a TV.
Vacuum Cleaner was the only cleaning tool that was provided, which will be only given when you show your ID (which isn’t the problem). But the lack of usable tools to clean up is a bummer.
And I had a problem with the key not opening up my room and I had to wait until next day of my check-in to resolve it.

I am familiar with student housing so I was not caught off guard, but someone else might be.
Bathroom amenities are rather scarse, so make sure you bring some shower soap and TPaper !

Location was convenient for work in Leicester centre. Facilities like gym, washing machines and driers were in good working order and readily available. Lidl right below the property too.
Attitude of check in staff was dreadful. I had emailed ahead of time to check some details only to be met with a sarcastic employee at front desk saying "Oh is this THAT person?". I've worked in service industries before and understand that customers can be annoying at the best of times. Probably not the smartest idea to air that in front of said guest. I was travelling for work, I don't know the area, I don't know you - of course I have questions. Please re-evaluate if this is the right career for you. Entire place could do with a good clean. Not the best first impression when walking in the room and seeing cockroach traps.

The location, the value for money and the facilities. I will certainly go there again. Supermarket and Starbucks and Takeaways very close, just a 20 minute walk from the attractions
Everything was good, the shelving in the oven didn't fit so couldn't be used, no sharpe knife for cutting meat and vegetables but besides that... everything was good.

I had a very good stay at Upperton Rd. The staff were very courteous and friendly, and I had no trouble checking in and getting the keys from them. They proved available to respond to any questions or requests throughout. On my last day, they were kind enough to arrange transportation to the train station for me. The room was comfortable - decent kitchen area with lot of cooking utensils and dishes plus a microwave and hob, and a large fridge/freezer. There was lots of storage space for food and other kitchen items. The bathroom was clean and spacious and the shower worked perfectly throughout. The bed was comfortable, and there was lots of storage space for clothes etc. The desk area was comfortable and had a lot of plugs for electronic equipment. The WIFI worked well throughout the stay. There was an excellent gym and study area on site for use by the guests. All-in-all a very good stay and good value for money.
Not an issue that could be helped, but during part of my stay, there was a heat wave, and the room was stuffy and needed the window opened all night. Since the room backed onto a popular biking/walking path, it meant it was noisy until late most nights. Again, not the fault of anyone, but it was disappointing.

I was thoroughly impressed by the seamless booking and check-in procedures. I genuinely wished for a longer stay and plan to return without a doubt.

Good location with close supermarkets and restaurants
The room wasn't clean, quite dusty, and the bed was very uncomfortable.

Overall, this is a very good place for students to stay, whether for the entire academic year, a single term, or even just a couple of weeks for planning. You can certainly rely on the rooms provided by Student Roost.
The en-suite rooms are quite spacious, with plenty of built-in wardrobe space. They also include a good quality wall-mounted LG TV-monitor with live channels, a long and sturdy office desk, and a comfortable, standard ergonomic chair. I found it perfectly suitable for sketching and drawing up to A2-A3 size, and there was still enough room for two laptops when I was doing designs and for my pencils – plenty of surface space to work on, along with a three-drawer cabinet.
The inclusion of a built-in oven is worth mentioning, as is the instant hot water tap, which provides boiling water in about ten seconds – very handy for making hot drinks. A huge advantage is the large Lidl supermarket right next door, which is unbeatable if you're busy or don't want to walk far for groceries.
There's also a pleasant canal-side walk if you head away from the city centre, leading to a lovely park where you can see horses. During the day, it's generally a peaceful place. However, as it's student accommodation, you can expect other students moving along the corridors late at night, not just on weekends. It wasn't too disruptive though, and I was able to focus and enjoy my stay despite having ADHD.
The maintenance team are also very responsive and regularly check or replace and fix things (a big thank you to Sam for my new showering set!). If you have any issues, don't hesitate to ask the staff at reception in the next building.
Finally, I'd like to thank the on-site team and customer service again for their quick responses and support during my stay.
