About this house rental
Beautiful Cape, east Brewster home set on a knoll with direct access to swimmable and serene Owl Pond. Owl Pond is surrounded by woods, perfect for a quick dip, swimming laps, paddle boarding, kids playing, fishing, hanging out on a raft in the sun…. all steps away down a wooded path from the backyard. Easy access to nearby Nickerson state park through walkable back roads and trails. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is a short bike away. Brewster is the perfect location, halfway out on the cape on the bayside…. We are 5-minute drive to Crosby Landing Beach on the bay and all that Brewster has to offer! A 5-minute drive to the shops in Orleans 10-minute drive to Nauset Beach, an amazing seaside beach. In 15-minutes you are at Coast Guard/Lighthouse Beach at the National Seashore.
Enjoy this family-friendly 4-bedroom/2 Bath home plus outdoor shower.
On the first floor: walk into a comfortable living area, great for hanging out and entertaining opening up into the dining room, kitchen and a deck. Down the hall from the kitchen is the first-floor bedroom, full bathroom, laundry room with washer and dryer and access to the garage. The kitchen comes fully equipped including a lobster pot to steam your own.
On the second floor: walk up the stairs to a full bathroom and 2 bedrooms. Bedrooms are light filled with a queen size beds. Each room has a desk, great for remote work. View the pond water glimmer through the trees from the second floor bedrooms.
On the lower level: a newly renovated basement with a second entertainment area with a couch and a futon couch and TV/Roku, on the other side of the basement is an alcove bedroom with a queen bed.
Outdoor space: From the dining room you will access a brand-new beautiful deck. The deck will be ready summer 2023. The deck is surrounded by woods and a short path down to Owl Pond. It is great to swim and then walk up to the cedar outdoor shower. There is a Weber gas grill, teak dining table that comfortably seats 8 – perfect for family BBQs. The deck gets great morning sun and there is a retractable canopy for shade on the deck.
Available for guests to use: SUP paddle board, beach gear – chairs, umbrellas, toys, tubes. There are a few bikes to use at the house but also recommend bringing your own bike and helmet. You can store your bike(s) in the garage.
Other amenities: High speed internet Wi-Fi, Smart TV – Roku, Board Games, Books for all ages, there is plenty of parking for 4 – 6 cars
This house has a peaceful open feel. Come bike the nearby CCRT (cape cod rail trail), relax in a hammock between the trees, swim in Owl Pond, start your day with beach yoga, explore Nickerson state park and enjoy the beautiful nearby bay and ocean beaches. Fresh local seafood and homemade ice cream are minutes away. The Brewster General store, Snowy Owl Coffee, Hopkins House Bakery, Kate’s Seafood and Hot Chocolate Sparrow are just some of our favorites.
