Pendle Hill Barley 17th Century 2 bed-bath period cottage

Super location next door to a very nice pub. Very well equipped

Nothing - it was all good

The cottage is a great place to unwind with a lovely ambiance. It’s located in the centre of Barley and plenty of walks from the village. It’s located about 20 metres from the pub so there’s no worries about drink driving. The beds were very comfortable and it’s a very quiet area. We had no problems sleeping there. The kitchen is well equipped and loads of crockery and cutlery so using the dishwasher is easy. It was very clean and pet friendly but with no “smell of dog” issues. Simon was very helpful and we felt that there was support if needed. The mobile phone signal in the area is very poor but the WiFi signal in the cottage was fine if that’s what you need. All told we had a very relaxing time and enjoyed our walks along the river. The artwork in the cottage is quite interesting and entertaining which adds to the enjoyable atmosphere of the place. It has an Aga, a log fire and everything that you need to hunker down and switch off from the rest of the world. A big deep bath for after the walks and a walk in wet room if you don’t want a bath. Pendle Hill is very close by and it’s only a 3 mile walk to Blacko and the Sun Inn if you want to track down witches.
