This sweet little beach house could not have been more perfect for our getaway! Our priority is always 1) patio w/view and 2) proximity to beach, so 100% there. The view from the covered porch was idyllic, with daisies blooming just past the yard, and beach so close. The beach seems to be private also, as there was public access to the east of us with trucks and cars parked on sand (about 3-4 houses down, with posts separating), but not in front of us. Very quiet on our stretch..also, the house is not directly on the main hwy like so many, and there is a quick route at west end of block to behind a small grocery store (1/2 a block), so you don't have to get on main hwy to fetch a missing grocery item! We felt very safe and loved this for last-minute purchases. The house itself, I will describe it as a fun little hippie house, which we loved. If you require fancy digs, it may not be your thing. Everything worked, ac in each room, stove, tv, coffee maker etc..beds were comfortable. Pictures are accurate. Drive into town for tours is not far at all. The West End Marina is also very close, and such a hidden surprise! The food was amazing. We had a blast, and hope to return!

1st day, the electrical outlets & window AC unit on the walls of the whole northwest side of the house didn’t work. That included the stove. I called the owner immediately. He said there had been some problems in the past & he would call the electric company, Centerpoint. It happened again that evening. We were gone all day Friday but when we got back, same electrical issues. I was asked to plug the AC unit into an extension cord & plug it into an outlet that worked. First-there was no extension cord. Second-I wasn’t going to go buy an extension cord & spend my own $100+. Third-That’s not a safe thing to do; short term is ok but it’s not a permanent solution. Happened again, twice on Saturday. That night a whole new electrical team came out , deduced the issue to being a bad meter box, needed to have an electrician replace it as it was about to burn out. I relayed this to the owner at 1:00am Sunday (we were checking out that day). I asked if I could get a 1 day refund since we hardly slept, it was not cool in the house & we couldn’t use the stove to cook. He said he didn’t know it was his meter box, that I could believe what I wanted & best he could do was 10% discount (for one day). I paid over $300 a day-I received a $74 refund plus a bad attitude from Mr. Mahmood. Poor customer service. My next stay will be at a hotel. This place is arduous, stressful & dangerous. Choose wisely & read reviews very carefully! I do not recommend this place.

Check in was a little disappointing because house had not been cleaned. Seems as though the cleaners were not told there would be a need to have it cleaned that day. The homeowner was exceptionally helpful & it was very beneficial to be able to talk directly with him. The Evolve associate was too far removed from the situation & would've had to talk with the owner to get anything done. Not sure what the benefit of Evolve was/is. The house itself was absolutely perfect for our stay, loved the half covered porch & the outdoor shower. Kitchen was very well equipped. The only issue was that the red floor lamp in the living room is missing a knob to turn it off/on---have to use pliers to get hold of the tiny metal protrusion....

We truly enjoyed our stay. Location, location, location. We took our 3 year old grandson for a quick Labor Day weekend retreat. I would stay here again. The walk to the beach is short, the views from the deck are awesome. We ate on the outdoor table and enjoyed the sounds of the ocean as well as the breeze. There is a restaurant and small grocery store within walking distance, very convenient! We had a lot of FUN! The washer/dryer is a huge plus! So nice to wash beach towels and swim suits before we headed back home. The only thing I would note is that the management company should go turn on the A/C units prior to guest arrival. It was extremely hot when we arrived! Trying to unpack was miserable while we waited for the unit to cool down.

Our girls trip was so enjoyable! The beach house was right on the beach and we enjoyed sitting out on the covered porch every morning and evening listening to and watching the waves roll in. So peaceful! The cabin was just what we wanted, with comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, plenty of towels and linens, and many other amenities. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this location and will plan to go back and stay there later this summer! Right on the water! This precious, quaint beach house was just prefect for us! The sounds, the views, the sunrise!!! We went pre Spring Break and really had the beach all to ourselves!

NO HAIR DRYER OR IRON AS ADVERTISED. BOARDS WITH CARPET LAYING ACROSS SEWAGE WATER TO WALK FROM PARKING AREA GOING TO GET ACCESS TO STAIRS TO DECK ENTRY. BARRICADE BOARDS LAYING ACROSS FRONT OF STAIRS TO DECK THAT WE HAD TO WALK ON TO GAIN ACCESS TO HOUSE. OUTSIDE LIGHTS UNDER DECK WE HANGING OFF EXPOSING WIRES. THERE WAS NO SMOKE DETACTORS IN HOUSE. A/C WERE WINDOW UNITS AND WERE NOT CAPABLE TO KEEPING HOUSE COOL. CEILING FAN IN MASTER BEDROOM WOULD ONLY WORK IF LIGHTS ON CELING FAN WERE TURNED ON. WATER SEWAGE STANDING IN FRONT OF PARK AREA THAT YOU HAD TO WALK AROUND TO GET TO HOUSE. JUST OVERALL A BAD EXPERIENCE. WE WERE TO STAY 4 NIGHTS BUT LEFT AFTER THE 2ND NIGHT.

The property has a wonderful view and location next to the ocean. Beyond that, it is in terrible shape with several safety issues. I would never rent this property or recommend it. Frankly, it should not be rented again until the safety issues are rectified. Safety Issues: - 1 smoke detector - the smoke detectors in the bedrooms have been removed. - Deck Railing - On the side of the deck, the deck railing is completely detached from the post. If someone leaned on it, they would likely fall over 10 feet to the ground. - Daisy Chained power cords - the property has very few outlets. The owner has plugged together using a combination of power strips and extension cords. Appearance: Generally, the property is run down. Paint is in bad shape. The Jack and Jill bathroom doesn’t have real doors. Just 3/4 inch plywood to create a “door”. Overall, this is a fish camp with limited appeal other than the location and views. The toilet needs repairing. It was mentioned in other reviews, but still wakes up the whole house when flushed.
