The self check-in worked well, property has doors with character, we had a slight challenge with lock of the inner door each time we tried to open it with the key (minor). The outside corridor smelled good, however when we entered the apartment we had a problem (check improvements for details) The apartment itself is spacious , generally clean, well equipped and has a good airco. The view of the inner garden from the bedroom window was beautiful. Overall the apartment has potential to be a small oasis on the inside (if you have visited Marseille you know what "in general" the outside is like) Suggestion : Use approach from Rue de Rome rather than Cr Lieutaud or even Rue d'Italie - much cleaner, less stink and feels safer. Use the Carrefour City at Place de Rome. Shimla (Indian restaurant) serves good Indian food though not located in an inviting surrounding (we ordered a take-away)

Unfortunately the previous guest had smoked in the non-smoking apartment hence we suffered the stench through our stay. Cigarette smell infused into the linen was a put off - need to acknowledge the empathy shown by NOCNOC , they did refund some money back as a token. Misstep from the cleaning staff of leaving the cigarette buds in the toilet dustbin. The self check-in instructions can be sent soon as the deposit amount is received , would have saved me having to call when we reached Marseille - always tricky when on roaming. Open shower - cannot avoid water splashing/spilling outside - a shower curtain may spoil the aesthetics :( The wifi code was not indicated. Wi-fi was a bit patchy on some devices. Pedel of dust bin was broken. Note : Apartment does not have a TV (in case it matters to you)
