Great location, very clean and well stocked. Very hot in bedrooms due to visiting in heatwave.

Booking and communication process through Booking.com not as easy as other booking platforms I have used on this trip. Also be aware (not the fault of accommodation) that there is no grocery shops in ancient Carcassonne so planning ahead for food prep is a good idea!

The air conditioner is on the main floor. The 2 bedrooms and the bathroom are 1 floor up. Cold air sinks, it does not rise. Both nights the bedrooms were at 30 C at midnight, going down to about 27 C by 3 AM. These are actual temperatures, not guesses, as I travel with a thermometer. Both nigjts, at 1:30 AM, the store next door smashed down its metal security door which would wake the dead. At about 3, the general outside noise quieted and we could have slept if it hadn't been so hot. There is a fan upstairs, but it is too short to even reach the lower window in the bigger bedroom let alone the other bedroom's high and small window. The main purpose of accomodations is to sleep, and that was impossible. Seriously, folks, this place is not appropriate for the summer, or for any warm weather for that matter. Save yourselves.
