A lovely property providing access to the Calanques National Park and nearby beaches.

Le Grand Large was a stylish well appointed apartment ideal for our family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children over 18. The facilities were good and it was very helpful to have a washing machine in addition to the kitchen too. Plage de l'Arene was close by and provided great snorkelling (recommend beach shoes as the shore is rocky and a bit tricky to get into the water) and centre of Cassis (including supermarkets) approx 15 minutes walk away. We also went on some spectacular walks in the Calanques. We travelled from London by train via Paris and Marseille and found this an easy journey.

Couldn't find any Freeview channels on the TV.

A very nice comfortable house but it is not for people without a car.

Very spacious , clean and tastefully decorated.

If you don’t have a car like in our case, the 15 min walk to the village. The geography is very hilly and walking back from the village to the house is physically long and very tiring. Especially in a summer heat and when you have to carry groceries.

It was perfect for our family of five. We stayed July 2025. The A/C worked and the parking was a breeze. Thierry is great and communicates quickly. The location was a twenty minute walk to the center of town, which was easy for us. However, it is all uphill back so that walk may not be for everyone. There’s also a beach nearby, albeit a rocky one. Despite the rocks, the water is clear and it’s not overcrowded. The sandy beach is in town, but crowded. It was definitely peak season in July! The grocery store and pharmacy are also in town and easy to find. There are lots of restaurants to pick from, too. There’s a night market, which made for a fun evening vibe! Overall, it was a great stay in a charming town and we would stay again if we return to Cassis!

It was a fantastic property! We felt safe and had all we needed nearby. The small shower just needs the drain fixed.

Lovely apartment in beautiful location

Lovely apartment in a large secure complex with nice patio with a view of the sea and Cap Canialle.

As in most rentals we’ve stayed in, a welcome gift is provided with water, toiletries, extra toilet tissue and most importantly instructions on how to operate induction appliances, air conditioners, etc. washer had mold accumulated in the rubber sealer. The entry gate operation was bit and miss. Bed linens were stained.

Lovely views over the sea in Cassis.

The location of the apartment was great with lovely views for sure. It was also great to have reserved parking right out front. The bathrooms were good, especially the shower. And Thierry was very kind and kept us informed through messaging.

Suggestions to improve this rating include: 1. Investing in better bedding- mattresses, pillows and linens. We found the mattresses hard, the pillows lumpy and the linens scratchy. 2. Being a little more generous with start-up essentials. There were no paper towels, no Kleenex, only two small trash bags, and only one thin bath towel and hand towel per person. 3. Creating a book with instructions for the apartment, instructions for opening and closing the gate, recommended restaurants, check out responsibilities, etc. instead of sending messages throughout the stay. We looked all over for such a book but never found one. 4. Removing the clear plastic cover on the dining table- very uninviting, not conducive to eating a meal at the table. 5. Possibly providing a welcome bottle of wine- this is the only booking that has not done so in our month long stay in France.

Séjour bien passé malgré quelques points à changer.

Nous avons apprécié la résidence au calme , à 20 min à pied du port .L’appartement possède 2 places de parking mais seul bémol , il se situe au plus haut de la résidence. Appartement ensoleillé

Les oreillers sont beaucoup trop plats . Les serviettes de toilettes ne sentent pas très bons . La chaudière est placée dans le placard d’une des chambres, ce qui fait du bruit .

Séjour parfait 😊🙏🏼

L'appartement était très bien, avec une très belle vue comme l'indique les photos descriptives. Nous avons une place de parking (précieuse à Cassis) et cela nous a permis de tout faire à pied puisque le centre est à côté.
