The Hideaway

A really lovely location. Very quiet once you got used to the noisy birds! Lots of wildlife- muntjac deer very close and a hedge hog came to say hello. Red kites soaring overhead. On a working farm, nice to see the animals (although their smell sometimes drifted to us!) The alpacas were particularly lovely. The fire pit was welcome as the evening started to get a bit chilly. Better facilities than listed. A small fridge was very much appreciated as was the tiny air fryer - just enough to warm pancakes for breakfast! A convenient location for Fakenham and the coast.

The bed was tiny! Bring just myself and my daughter we managed but my husband would have struggled! We were left to try to work out where the facilities were- the drinking water was well hidden behind a bush! A little note in the welcome pack would have been helpful, along with details for recycling and a correct mobile number in case of need. No hot water for washing up- had to be taken from the hand washing sink. The toilets were not cleaned for the duration of our stay. As the property is advertised for 2 people, having enough crockery would have been helpful.

Lovely place to stay on a working farm. The bed is so comfy and the location is ideal. A great place to get away from it all 😊

Not that I don’t like it but I feel the toilet block could do with a freshen up.

Location perfect, beautiful setting on a working farm. Accommodation was better equipped than stated in details, which made no mention of the fridge or air fryer provided.

Bed a little cramped, and WC not terribly convenient in terms of distance. Accommodation should have a fire alarm fitted, given there are electric appliances running at night. Only one spoon was provided!

Lovely quaint Shepard’s hut with the most comfortable bed and lovely touch with the crisps, biscuits and drink waiting for you on arrival. The setting is very tranquil. Having been here a few times before the facilities are improving with the washing up facilities being added recently.

The shower facilities are abit dated but the actual shower was really good. Although though they are abit dated it wouldn’t put us off coming back.
