BELVEDERE Luxury Apartment, view on the Lucca Walls

Amazing location-literally next to the walls and the train station. Very comfortable rooms either soaring ceilings. Responsive host.

Seriously this place is amazing, highly recommended, the decor, the shower, the beds, the kitchen and the bits and pieces our host had left for us. The apartment is really comfortable and clean and so well appointed. The location was really good near train station, old city, restaurants etc. our host Giacomo was wonderful and really accommodating letting us in early and leaving us snacks and prosecco to start our break. An absolutely lovely luxury place to stay near a beautiful city.

Very spacious apartment and very close to Porta San Pietro / the walled entrance to Lucca. Even though it was paid parking, the parking lot was very close (though across a busy street) to the apartment. Lovely that the host provided snacks and a bottle of Prosecco, as well as water, for us.

There were two flights of stairs to the apartment and no lift - I do not remember seeing that in the description, and traveling with an aunt who had recently had knee surgery made this a little more challenging to navigate. The coffee pod machine was very basic and did not make good coffee. Also, only 2 pods were provided for two people for two nights. There wasn't much of a view from the apartment - just looking at the wall of Lucca. So I would not call this a romantic spot. But it was a functional, easy-access spot. The manual for how to run the house was tucked away, and I didn't know where to find it, so I had to ask the host. I also had to ask the host about the controls for the AC, as all but one of the controls had run out of charge.
