The location is ideal - close to the Cathedral but very quiet. We loved how welcome we felt. It really felt like family even though we knew no one when we arrived. The staff made us feel very special and this was definitely the biggest highlight of the place. There were people from all over the world sharing the big dining room table. Very enjoyable.
At first we thoght the place could use some upgrading but honestly we overlooked that once we met the staff and other guests.

Location was great and breakfast was fine. We had to miss the first day as we had to catch an early train. Consequently we paid for something we did not need or use. We requested a double room and received a triple on the 3rd floor, which was inconvenient for us (age 77 and 81), and more expensive. On our second stay we were in the double room with bath, which actually became a record holder for us for being the smallest and most crowded shower, sink and toilet in one space we’d ever seen.
Not sure how the limited space could be improved. I imagine the design was the best they could do.

The floor boards moved when someone in the next room walked around, was unnerving (ghost) ha ha. Staff didn’t speak English.
