The Willows

House was big enough for us all and the kitchen was well equipped. Bedrooms are nice

There was an awful smell when we arrived. We went to reception for bleach but we were given toilet cleaner so had to drive to a shop for our own cleaning products. Febreeze, Bleach and Antibacterial wipes. Some of the furniture is really old and tatty so we moved some out of sight and took up some smelly rugs. Carpets are worn and dirty. Needs a refresh

House was the perfect size for our family. Loved the layout, the games room etc. Perfect location for days out too! Outdoor area was great with the dogs and plenty of outdoor seating. Decor throughout was beautiful, could tell a lot of time and effort had gone into it.

Part of the oven was broken which made it difficult to cook for 13 people, when we told the caretakers, they were already aware but nobody notified us prior so we kept trying it. One of the windows was broken and stuck open, which was a security issue. Again when we notified them, it was already known but not fixed. There were cobwebs around, and mice droppings under the kitchen sink too, and a mouse was seen in the utility. The place generally looked tired with stains all over the carpet. The recycling bin wasn't emptied prior to our stay so we couldn't do as requested and recycle our rubbish. No cupboard space for our food so we had to use the breakfast bar for our pantry items.

The location was perfect for us, we wanted to spend majority of the time in the house, but also not be to far away from been able to go out for a couple of hours. The willows was the perfect place for our family get away.
