Disappointing, worrisome

Comfortable bedroom, large, well equipped kitchen

Owner/manager very dismissive via telecom. Neighbours unfriendly and intimidating, wouldn't allow me to park outside even though there was space. Bathroom and shower tiny, cramped, freezing cold, mouldy. There was a bag of dirty socks inside the writing desk in the bedroom.

Slightly better than a hostel

No hot water on one night but that wasn't their fault, water was out all over. Clean enough but stains and stray hairs in the room on the bed and furniture. The room door pushes open if not locked, and rattles when a draft comes (or when others open other doors). The upstairs occupants were very noisy (both late and early) constantly in and out, shouting up stairs, sometimes 3-4 people going to the same room and didn't seem to follow the rules set out in my room. Ultimately due to the bed and occupants, I slept very poorly.

Great choice highly recommend

The check in process was very easy and smooth the location was very good near the city centre and such great value for money. The accommodation was warm. The host gave me all the information needed to check out also. I was here in a business trip working at a boxing event at the SSE ARENA which this property was not far from either.

Great value for money and a very comfortable stay.

The house was beautifully kept, facilities were up to date and communication from the host was prompt and helpful. We were concerned originally about a shared bathroom but it proved to be no issue at all. Well kept and readily available, especially with there being 2. Great value for money and would definitely stay again.

The fan was too loud to have on but the room wasn't hot enough at the end of June for it to be an issue. :)

Excellent value for a high quality stay

Very clean and daily cleaning was appreciated. Also appreciated a secure entry system and locks in the doors as well as spacious shared areas with minimal interference from other guests. Slept quietly and comfortably which I appreciated the rules sheet that made the stay very pleasant.

Nothing to comment on. The house is much nicer inside than the street reflects.

Peach place to stay. We would definitely stay there again.

This is the first time we’ve tried a shared house and it was brilliant. Quiet location and absolutely spotless. There is a shared kitchen with washing machine, dryer, cooker, toaster and microwave. Really good. The fish and chip shop on the other side of the river bridge on the right hand side did absolutely fantastic fish and chips!

We went by car and parking was a problem. However, a short walk over the main road was a one-way street where there was plenty of parking. There is some restricted parking but there is plenty of open space to park. A minor inconvenience.

Definitely wouldn’t return

The bed was comfortable.

The TV remote in our room didn’t work so we had no way to change the channel. Soundproofing is terrible. Our first night, people staying in the property above us were arguing and crying all night. Another night we were woken up by cats outside in the street. The property could provide earplugs if they know this to be a problem, or invest in soundproofing. The keypad to enter the property is a bit unpredictable. When we were trying to check in after arriving on a late flight, we couldn’t get it to light up for a good 10 mins. There is a ring doorbell and a contact number but there was no response from either when we were having issues. So it was very worrying at the time thinking we’d be stranded in the middle of the night. No one checked in to see that we were ok the next day either. Generally clean but definitely not to the standard I’d expect - mirror really dusty for example. No problems being able to use the shared bathroom but there was nowhere to put anything apart from a tiny narrow shelf above the toilet. I had to put my wash bag on the floor while using the sink and shower. The sink is one of those really tiny ones as well - impossible to wash your face with.

Good location for Queen's University, simple and clean

The location was great for the university and the room was nice and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was also nice and modern with all necessary items.

The room (2nd floor attic) has a very small window which was not giving a lot of fresh air during the exceptionally hot weather in early September. For the price it would have been nice to have a washhand basin in the room, or at least a mirror. The front-door would need a handle on the inside, as it didn't open easily and was difficult to pull open on the small knob of the yale-lock.

Exceptional

Rutland town house is close to many shops and restaurants its only about a 20 min walk to victoria square and lanyon station. Our room was very clean amd spacious, the house is really quiet amd peaceful.

Independence close to the city centre.

Excellent location for the city centre, approximately 1800 steps (or just over a mile) to the centre. Nearby shops, takeaways and pubs if you fancy somewhere closer. River at the bottom of the street, which had a cycle path along its length.

My room was No. 4 (the attic). It was of good size if you ignore the fact that a third or the room had a sloped ceiling and was not really useful as a space (lost count of the number of times I banged my head on the cross beam). There was a skylight, which could not be opened (by design) meaning the room was like a sauna. A portable fan was provided but as I am mindful of other guests, use of said device was limited to avoid the noise disturbing others. The bedroom is, however, somewhere to sleep so is in use for shortish periods only so the heat was noticeable but not a deterrent.

The landlord was really nice! it was clean, it's new. Nice to have a kitchen and washer and dryer. free internet. Quiet neighborhood. Close to bus stops. A small grocery was close.

Our room was a little small for 3 adults. The bathrooms were shared, we knew this, but still a little inconvenient. The stairs are steep if you have mobility issues. They do have one main floor room. Not a lot of restaurants choices close.

Nada que decir del lugar, estaba todo súper limpio, las habitaciones espaciosas, hasta television tienen. Nos proporcionaron toallas gratis. El acceso super simple y se enviaron las instrucciones con el tiempo correcto. La cocina tenia de todo, y hasta lavadora, solo que se podia usar en cierto horario. La ubicacion no es centrica pero es posible llegar a pie al centro, nosotros lo hicimos nunca usamos transporte para llegar son 15 a 20 minutos a pie, que no es terrible. La casa cuenta con 4 habitaciones y 2 baños, nunca tuvimos problemas para usar el baño estando toda la casa ocupada.

Gemeischaftsküche und Sitzbereich

Extrem unfreundliche Vermieterin, wir durften unser Fahrrädern nicht in den Hof stellen. Im Flur befindet sich eine Kamera, man wird überwacht, völlig untragbar. Unser Zimmer war sehr klein. Die Nutzung der Küche ist eingeschränkt. Das Gemeinschaftsbad ist lächerlich klein, die Duschkabine total verschimmelt!

Trotz der Bitte nach einer 2. Decke, haben wir keine bekommen (sind mit 2 Personen angereist). Das Zimmer war sehr laut, das Bett die reinste Katastrophe. Auf dem Kissen waren Flecken, eine Lampe funktionierte nicht und die Toilette hat nicht vernünftig gespült.
