Villa Clementina Boutique Hotel

Overall great experience. Very attentive staff and the food is absolutely delicious… you really won’t need to book any other dinner reservations while staying here. The menu changed daily and each day was so fresh. If you want to book any of the excursions through the hotel make sure you do that about a week before arriving and be very clear on exactly when and what you would like to do as we ended up missing out on those. If you want to be able to travel between different spots on the lake this is a great central location meaning you aren’t taking up too much time on ferries or in a car.

It was definitely a boutique hotel and we loved everything about it. Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating! The food in their restaurant was world class!!

Our family had an incredible stay at this property. The views and the property itself were breathtaking! The terraced vegetable garden was so beautiful to explore and we enjoyed the pool and the solarium with the hot tub very much. We felt very relaxed while on the Villa. Our room was comfortable and spacious for our family of three (two adults and one young adult). Richard was an incredible host. From the very beginning he made our stay comfortable. He was present to answer any questions and tell a good story. The staff were warm and attentive to any needs we had. Colonno is a quiet little town and the Villa is certainly a gem! We highly recommend this place and we would love to come back any day!

We stayed at Villa Clementina for three nights and loved it there. The service was exceptional. Richard greeted us at the bus stop and took us through the private garage where a golf buggy was waiting to take us and our luggage on the short journey up the hill to the Villa. As we checked in Richard told us about the history of the area and Villa. He was very passionate and knowledgeable and it was a lovely way to start the stay. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean, well maintained and had a powerful shower. The room had a balcony that overlooked Lake Como, which was nice to sit on at relax. The infinity pool area was quiet and relaxing, as was the hot tub and garden areas. All of which were overlooking the lake. The breakfast was amazing! The eggs and bacon were cooked to order and there was plenty of choice with cereals, pastries and fresh fruit platters. The homemade croissants were a particular favourite. The staff were very attentive and Richard would stop and have a chat in the morning and give us tips about the places we were visiting. On our departure day we were given a bottle of Lake Como olive oil, which was an unexpected but lovely touch. Richard’s wife even drove us to the train station in Como so that we wouldn’t have to wait for a bus. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Clementina and would definitely stay there again.

Very quaint, small, and peaceful hotel. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Ideal for a quiet retreat and to enjoy stunning lake views from the pool!

We had some amazing days at this little Hotel by the Como Lake. A fantastic view, very good food, relaxation and a truly fantastic kitchen Garden up the hill. I don't think that I have ever been at a place where we felt so welcome before - It all started when we were picked up at the garage by the owner Richard in the MINI shuttle ;-) Telling us stories about the area and the hotel. It's was very personel in the best possible way - this is truly a little pearl at the lake. Thank you Richard and staff for an amazing experience.

We found that our room was comfortable and offered a great view of the lake. The highlights of our stay was the dining. Vicky & her team were outstanding — warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about their work. Unfortunately, our experience ended on a disappointing note. On our final morning, we had an early departure and had made arrangements the night before — with both the front desk and the restaurant — for a light breakfast or takeaway option (as most hotels typically offer) around 7:30 a.m. (breakfast officially begins at 8). We were assured this would not be a problem, and saw the evening staff write a note for the morning team. However, when we arrived the next morning, the gentleman opening the restaurant was extremely unprofessional. Despite the prior arrangements, he was clearly upset by our presence, yelling and cursing as he went about setting up. Not only were we denied the breakfast we had planned for, but we were also treated with complete disrespect. When we brought the incident to the manager, Richard, during checkout, his response was underwhelming: “I will talk to him and I apologize on his behalf.” No attempt was made to resolve the situation, offer us anything in the moment, or provide any compensation — and no follow-up came afterward. While the hotel has many positive aspects, the lack of professionalism & accountability in handling our departure left a lasting negative impression. Sadly, we would not return or recommend Hotel Hotel Clementina.

We went for three nights for my niece’s wedding. We were treated by Richard who gave us the history on the property while we checked in. The property is beautiful with amazing views of the lake. We enjoyed dinner there the first night and it was spectacular. Breakfast each morning was equally delicious. You feel like you are at a bed and but with so much more. We look forward to returning and enjoying the property again.

From the moment we were picked up by Richard, we were blown away by the hospitality, and exceptional beauty of Villa Clementina. Richard and staff made us feel at home our entire stay. This has made it extremely easy to decide on where to stay when we return to Como. The Room, the views of the lake, the breakfast buffet and restaurant, property beauty and cleanliness were unmatched . We only wish we stayed additional days to enjoy the work out area and explore the gardens. Thanks Villa Clementina!

Just an amazing stay in a wonderful part of the world. From check-in to check out, my family and I not only were able to enjoy the Lake Como area, we enjoyed everything that Villa Clementina had to offer. The hotel is situated with a stunning view of the Lago. The staff provided via email easy to follow instructions on how to get to the main entrance. When we checked in, Lorenzo greeted us warmly. He met us to help us with our luggage (a cute golf cart) as it was a walk up hill a bit to get to the front desk. What we noticed on the way up to the hotel was the amazing view of the lake and surrounding area. aah Italy !! Before our dinner at the hotel, Richard, the very knowledgeable, warm, and accommodating director/manger greeted us and offered a very detailed and needed overview of the hotel and of Lake Como are in general. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant for dinner, snacks at lunch and breakfast. I definitely recommend having dinner at the hotel. The infinity pool overlooking the lake is so relaxing. The atmosphere/vibe there gives you really no choice but to feel relaxed and welcome. We loved coming back to the restaurant for dessert, espresso, and an after dinner drink. Our room was also very comfortable, good AC, as you know Americans need and crave good air conditioning. (Sorry not sorry) The staff was also so helpful with how to enjoy Lake Como area. Needless to say, we really hope to return.

Everything about this beautiful hotel is luxury

What an amazing experience. This small hotel is packed with charm. The pool is wonderful with breathtaking views. We met Richard as soon as we arrived and immediately felt welcome and at home. What a great human being. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We dined in the hotel both evening nbd and the food was some of the best during our two week trip. This stay was unplanned but being here the last two days of our Italian vacation made it end on an extremely high note. Thanks to all the folks here who made our trip special.

This was by far one of if not the best experiences we have had staying at a hotel. The staff was amazing and took care of everything we needed and then some. They consistently went out of their way to provide a personalized luxurious experience. The rooms, food, location, and views were all superb! We will definitely be coming back.

Our stay at Villa Clementina was an exceptional experience. Richard greeted us at the garage as we arrived and everyone we met during our stay went above and beyond, nothing was too much bother for them. The suite we stayed in was immaculate and the breath taking views of Lake Como were simply stunning. Our breakfast was absolutely delightful and our evening meals delicious. The chef came out to me to discuss my needs as a vegetarian and this is something I’ve never experienced and was so grateful and very impressed with. Anyone visiting here is guaranteed an amazing experience. Thank you for your hospitality.

Nice location about 10 mins outside Tremezzo. I would recommend having a car, they do have parking. Room was very nice, clean and updated. Customer service was outstanding. Restaurant was good though they offer a smaller menu for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was great with many options including eggs/omelettes. You can lsy at the pool while taking in wonderful views of Lake Como. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was beautiful! The owner, Richard, and his staff were amazing! . Spending time by the pool was very relaxing. The restaurant chef prepares fresh food from the garden. Property is in a quiet area but very close to ferry stop. We took the ferry to Bellagio, and the property lined a private boat tour from Bellagio around Lake Como. We really enjoy boutique resorts as the staff know you by name instead of as a room number. We highly recommend this resort.

I don't know where to start. We have stayed in many top hotels all over the world but have to say Villa Clementina was wonderful from start to finish. The warmest of welcome from Richard and his team made you feel very special. The attention to detail in every aspect of our stay could not have been any better. We ate in the hotel for the 3 nights we were there. The kitchen garden is so beautiful with produce picked daily for the day's meal. The Villa is blissfully peaceful that we did not want to leave! We very much enjoyed our brief stay at Villa Clementina Boutique Hotel. Located on the western side of Lake Como approx center of the lake. It was easy to walk to the Colonno port to get to the small boat that connects you to many other towns along Lake Como. Richard our host was most accommodating and super helpful. His hotel staff were very attentive and met our every need. The Hotel restaurant was quite amazing and we were very much impressed with the dinners. Special thanks to the chef Paolo who was very gracious to share his delicious soup recipe as well as turning us on to a small grocery store that sells unique local cheese. A little off the beaten path, but store was a gem of a find! In sum, this was a very nice boutique hotel in a ideal location of Lake Como.

This place is top notch and I would recommend anyone to stay here. Quite area with an amazing view and you will have an amazing time. Staff is top notch as well and take care of you at all times. Highly recommend staying here!

I was blown away by how perfect everything was about this stay, from directions on how to arrive the hospitality during the stay, the yummy breakfasts and the spectacular view and last but not least the very professional staff Can’t wait for our next stay!

Thanks to Richard, Anna, Colin, Marta and the team; we really enjoyed our stay at the Villa! Everyone was so lovely and welcoming, the food and local wines were delicious and we got some sun in-between the rain to take in the scenery. We cannot fault the hotel or staff and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Superb!!

Our stay at the Villa Clementina was spectacular. This villa is owned by the sweetest family (Barbara and Remo). When staying here we felt as though we were apart of the family. The staff is wonderful (especially Orietta, Anisa, Roberta, and Colin). Mery and Gheeta did a fabulous job at keeping our rooms tidy and were very friendly. Everyone was attentive, warm, and open. Chef Paolo is a master chef, we ate every dinner at the villa. His food was the best we had in Italy. We miss everyone, and cannot wait to stay again.

We got off to a rough start as we found ourselves standing in the rain at the bus stop for Colono and no taxis in site. Because of communication problems we did not know how close we were to the hotel but the street was dangerous to walk on, especially in the rain. After 45 minutes a cab driver came by and took us the 200 meters to a bit of a complicated entrance to the Hotel. After that it was pure bliss, starting with the very apologetic golf cart driver who took us up the steep hill to the hotel. I want to emphazize that the staff was 100 percent all over making our stay wonderful. It has a beautiful dining room and superb food. They do have a jacuzzi but it didn’t have a cover and wasn’t kept at the usual 102 degrees Fahrenheit. For some reason, even in the rainy October time in which we were there the room stayed too warm for me but maybe I wasn’t working the thermostat correctly. But again, wonderful hotel and top notch staff !

The staff was so welcoming and kind to us. The room was very clean and comfortable. The scenery was beautiful. They have a restaurant right there and the food was delicious. We had a five star dinner and breakfast! I would recommend this hotel to all my friends!

An amazing little Jem! The owners are wonderful and the manager she is out of this world. You feel right at home, from when you arrive until when you leave. I would go back to this place, any day, any time. The food is also amazing, over an amazing view🥰♥️

The staff at Villa Clementina are so helpful, polite, friendly and accomodating. The food in the restaurant is freshly cooked and is honestly of a spectacular impressive standard. The hotel has a buggy to transport you. Absolutely loved it hwre
