A room with a view.

Our one-night stay here was lovely. The location is quiet and picturesque. The room was quite basic in a typically Italian way, but considering the setting, the seasonal price, and the exceptionally friendly staff and manager, it hardly mattered. The drive to the hotel can be a bit challenging, as the roads are narrow and winding. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were consistently warm and welcoming.

Not as expected

The hotel is on the lake with beautiful views and the ferry directly outside.

This was supposed to be for my husbands 40th, we had been travelling the north of Italy and this was our last stop before Switzerland.The hotel in general was outdated, and our room felt like a hostel dorm room. Modern bathroom, but the rest forgotten about. The downstairs area felt old, and when we sat down expecting service from the bar, we had to get up and ask to be served. My husbands reaction was that we should have stayed in Bellagio. There are a couple of restaurants nearby but nothing else on foot really and we didn't want to drive. I was extremely disappointed. We were leaving early so didn't try breakfast. We wouldn't stay here again.

A peaceful place with a beautiful lake view, but a bit far from the center and breakfast could be better.

The view from the hotel was absolutely beautiful — facing the lake and surrounded by peaceful scenery. The staff were kind, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing.

The location was quite far from Como city center and not very easy to reach, especially if you plan to walk or go out frequently. The breakfast selection was very limited and could be improved.

Fabulous location and excellent food and service

Fantastic location very close to the lake and the boat station that will take you to most towns around the lake. Also private parking so never used the car for 5 days!

Arrived for breakfast half an hour before finishing and staff were already removing some options. This should happen at closing time. Was still good but felt rushed, so would advice to go earlier.

lovely location on the lake, excellent restaurant (for dinner), great pool, superb, large rooms with excellent, spacious bathrooms.

breakfast was not on a par with the rest of the hotel. Clearly not the same staff & skill deployed – but they were certainly kind. If you want to be in the middle of the action, Lenno is a quiet place with a small number of places to eat & drink: in that case beter opt for, say, Bellagio.

Perfect place

Great location. The staff is super friendly. The parking overnight is free but you have to leave at a certain time. You could do what we did and parked somewhere else for free and just walked about 900 meters.

Exceptional quiet location directly on Lake Como, next to ferry stop

Very well located on the waterfront in Lenno, opposite the ferry stop and away from the busy main road. Much quieter than other towns but very easy access to ferry to get to nearby Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo, Menaggio, etc. We arrived by car which we left in the convenient basement parking and then just walked and used ferries. You can sit outside at the restaurant directly overlooking lake Como so it is an exceptional setting. Very helpful staff assisted us in booking entry for the nearby Villa del Balbianello which is the only garden where you otherwise have to queue.

Breakfast was nice, but perhaps a bit more fruit and berries.

Albergo Lenno was a lovely, hospitable hotel with a great location; I'd stay there again!

The staff was exemplary, and were fluent in English as well as Italian. I particularly appreciated their patience in explaining the ferry schedule. The breakfast buffet was very good. The room was spacious and clean. The location was exceptionally convenient for using the ferry, and I enjoyed shopping at the local vendors.

The room was not the most comfortable for me. I found it to be too warm (late April), and the heating system kept turning back on after I had shut it off. The air conditionaling system was not yet operational for the summer. Opening the window was not a quiet option, as my room overlooked the hotel entrance and the ferry loading/unloading area. The bed was also not the most comfortable, as it was quite hard compared to other beds I had slept in. It may be entirely acceptable at a different time of year or outdoor temperature.

The staff was very kind and attentive at all times. They offer full support, if you need a taxi or any kind of assistance, you just have to call the hotel reception.
