Spacious and good location but a lot of faults

Spacious house, comfy beds, has everything you need in kitchen! It does come with free WiFi which can reach all the way to top floor.

It was dirty! The rug in living room needs a good clean! The ceiling in the kitchen is falling down even though the host said it was ok needs fixing asap. Stains on the sofas, the smell in the living room smells like wet dog I hate to buy my own air freshener. Burn and stain on back of cushion in bedroom also stained blanket at bottom. Dirty cups in kitchen that was in cupboard from previous guest. Dusty shelf’s in cupboard, microwave rusty Inside. The bin is broken in kitchen.

The linen was fresh.

The general level of cleanliness was poor e.g. thick dust on ceiling light fittings and the blinds, we had to wash the crockery before eating because the plates were greasy. The ceiling in the kitchen/diner was cracked and collapsing in one area. There was black mould on the ceiling and outside wall in one of the 2nd floor bedrooms along with wallpaper coming off the walls. We had booked 2 nights but stayed for 1 and cut our weekend away short. Had we not arrived so late we would have left immediately. The free parking is quite a distance away from the property so if you have children or mobility issues you will find this an inconvenience as parking outside the property is not guaranteed for you to offload your luggage. The communication before our arrival was reasonably good in terms of how to get in the property but we were given the wrong wifi info and the app/website we were directed to also gave the wrong or possibly outdated information about the heating system for the house. How some of the issues were not rectified prior to us arriving is a mystery as they were very obvious and, as the bedding was fresh, someone had been in the property recently. The attention to detail was poor. We hope that since we reported these issues, they have been rectified for future customers. We would not stay here again.

Really close to seafront/town etc.

Not a lot of space outside, just a small yard area. But only stayed a few night's so didn't really matter.

We had a great time in Scarborough

The property was in close proximity of everything we needed which was a bonus

The property was not clean we all thought the property had a smell to it 😩the property could do with redecorating and the bathroom door needs attention as does not close properly and around the edge of the bath was dirty , one bedroom had a badly stained pillow case . It was not clear on parking restrictions and no welcome pack on arrival it was a cheap stay so says it all . Would not stay here again

The property was ideal. Very comfortable, a home from home. Peasholm Park and North shore only 5 minutes walk away. Shops and chip shops, restaurants and bars within easy access. Parking no problem!

Although not a problem for us , steep stairs to the third floor.

If staying for longer the inability to leave car outside the property during the day for more than 2 hrs (disc zone) would be a nuisance.. other places I have stayed provide a scratch card as if you are a resident.

Don't waste your money, it's filthy

The only positives were the comfy beds.

Where to begin! The smell when you 1st walk in is bad! Wet stagnant dog smell! It clearly hadn't been hoovered for a long time, there was bits all over the floor, the carpet up the stairs was so full of dirt 🤢 you could have filled a rubbish bag with the amount of rubbish under sofas, beds, and pieces of furniture. Food was stuck onto the plates and cups so I had to rewash all these. There was food stuck to the tablecloth from the previous guests so nothing had been wiped either. Huge cobwebs in every room, not just a weeks worth- more like a years worth! No extractor fan in bathroom so gets very steamy the shower was either scalding hot or cold, it was difficult to maintain a safe temperature. I'm surprised they're allowed to rent the place out with the risk aspect of someone burning themselves in the shower. There was a dirty towel hanging in the main bedroom which must have been from previous guest. All in there hadn't been any cleaning done prior to our arrival. I did contact the owner about this but didn't get a response from them which I think is very rude. I would never stay there again or any other properties they rent out, disgusting dirty place and not worth the money.

The property was as the photos on booking.com When we 1st opened the door the fully property smelt awful. I could not let children go in to the property until I’d gone to shop and bought air fresheners and cleaner.

The property is advertised with parking? The street are all residential pass holder only and no pass on site. After contacting the number given a pass was posted. Check out time was booked as 12 pm We were contacted on New Year’s Day to say check out times is 10am Which spoilt the full trip.

The location was quite good. Reasonably central to what we needed.

No lock on bathroom door. Shower glass panel bracket had been pulled from wall before we arrived. Toilet needed a clean. No latch to first floor bedroom and door got wedged when closed, could be planed down about 4mm.

We liked the property a lot, good facilities and comfortable beds.

No instructions available in the house about how to operate heating or other equipment which would have been useful. The area where the house is located is a bit scruffy without much of a view or space to sit outside
