Apple Tree Cottage

Spacious and modern accommodation (cottage detached from the main house), with modern art on the wall. Modern kitchen with all conveniences. Two bedrooms, upper room with own toilet and basin, bathroom with toilet and shower on ground floor. Ample parking space in front of the property. Summertown shops and restaurants and pubs in Wolvercote village are 15-minute walk away. Bus stop for to city centre is close by.

There were a couple of minor technical issues which were very quickly and satisfactorily resolved by the owner and agency. We found the TV remote controls hard to operate and some additional written instructions would be helpful (i.e. how to find live viewing or BBC iPlayer).

Extremely comfortable for two people. Tea, coffee, excellent kitchen stuff. Generous bathroom amenities.

Een leuk comfortabel huis, leuk ingericht, goed bed. Alles was netjes en schoon. Lokatie prima, we konden makkelijk met de bus naar Oxford city.

Enige puntje was het verkeer dat je hoorde. We wonen zelf heel rustig dus dit zijn we niet gewend. Met ramen dicht is t heel prima te doen.

The location is excellent. The neighborhood is nice, there is a gas station, a shop and pubs nearby. You can walk to the shop through a beautiful landscape. It takes about half an hour to walk to the city center, which is also a pleasant walk. If you take an Uber, the price is approximately €10. We approached the house from the wrong side, so we weren’t sure how to get there, but we called the host and she explained everything to us. The house is exactly as shown in the photos, even more beautiful in person. The beds are very comfortable, wifi is great. It was a bit cold in the house, an extra blanket would have been helpful but this really wasn’t a big issue. I would definitely recommend staying here.
