About this house rental

'Maison Olivier ' is simply and elegantly decorated with classical and provencal furnishings. From the living room there is a beautiful view of the “Mont Ventoux” and the East vineyard. The kitchen opens on to a private stone patio and a Mediterranean herb and flower garden with flowering laurel bushes, thyme, rosemary and lavender. An arbor covered in honeysuckle and jasmine shades a sitting area next to the outdoor dining table and barbecue.

There is an open-space kitchen and living room with fireplace. Three bedrooms with ensuite bath/shower rooms.
Quality linens, bath towels and pool towels are furnished.

In the “pool area”, there is a very large floodlit swimming pool with a sliding semi-telescopic removable cover, sun beds and a covered sitting area. At poolside there are fig trees that provide shade. The pool is in a separate walled in area with a separate shower and toilet.

Laudun has a provencal market on Sunday mornings as well cafés, bakeries, and shops.

An absolutely delightful week with grown children and their partners at this beautiful place. Laura the host was fantastic with communication. The place itself was just stunning. A short walk to town where too many pasties were bought. Spent alot of time laying by the well kept pool and eating in the quaint little garden area. Want to return again as quickly as possible. The whole family loved it !!!!!

We stayed here for five days at the beginning of the summer, using the home as a base for exploring the beautiful region. We were thrilled with the whole experience. The house is located a short drive from a small town with a grocery store, butcher, and bakery. The house itself is on a beautiful property surrounded by a vineyard and olive groves. Our apartment, although attached to the main house, felt very separate from it, with its own terrace and a lot of privacy. There are three large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a large living room and kitchen. There is also a shaded outdoor eating and sitting area. The apartment was clean and spacious and well-equipped. The beds were very comfortable. We were able to buy local produce and cook every day, enjoying the outdoor space tremendously. Even though we were there during summer, the thick walls, shutters, and ceiling fans kept us comfortably cool. The best part was the beautiful pool, shared with the owners and one other apartment. The setting was beautiful no matter where we looked! The hosts were gracious, informative and responsive. Within 30-90 minutes we were able to visit many wonderful villages and sites by car: Avignon, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Uzes, Nimes, and Roussillon. This rental was a remarkable find, and we hope to return! Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

Despite the stricter lockdown in April we really enjoyed our stay. With all the information about attestations and tips from the owners we could still visit several markets within a radius of 30 km's, for example in Uzès en Laudun itself. And the wine domains in Tavel and Chateau Neuf du Pape. Waking up with the singing of the birds and the rising sun form behind the Mont Ventoux really did give our stay something special. And everything in the house did function very well. Did make our stay very comfortable too. Thank you and we'll see you again hopefully!

Laura and her family made us feel so welcome and provided us with tons of local intel. The pool and outdoor areas were fantastic, giving plenty of options for sun or shade. We enjoyed taking the complimentary bikes out each morning, to make the short cycle into the village to get fresh baguettes and pastries. So much to see and do in the surrounding area if you can tear yourself away from the pool. Will definitely be back!

Quiet, clean, spacious with quite firm beds. Very friendly and helpful English-speaking hosts. Two gites contiguous with main house, overlooking host’s field of organic grapes and pool. In small town 30 minutes from Avignon or Orange. A good location as a base for exploring northern Provence.

We were extremely happy with the accommodation provided by Laura. Very private outdoor area with comfortable chairs and table for eating at. Three large bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms and good beds. The living room was also a good size, and kitchen/dining area also great. Two couples had lots of room, and everything was on one floor. Couldn't have asked for more, and with Laura's hospitality, it was just that little bit better.

We found this property at the last minute and were pleasantly surprised by the spacious layout, the kitchen, and outside barbeque and patio. It was easy to relax in the space (we stayed in the three-bedroom rental), and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The owners make their own wine, honey and jam, and also keep a few chickens and goats. Even though the vacation rentals are on the same property as the owners' home, the vacation rentals feel private.

We had a wonderful time in this fantastic villa in the middle of a private vineyard. Laura and Thierry were lovely and very helpful and welcomed us with some of their own wine which was fantastic. They also "dressed" us a bottle or Rose for our daughter. We made very good friends with Laya their dog who always came to welcome us when we arrived back from a day of exploring. We loved the pool area and spent several evenings at the pool admiring the view although we also loved our own patio. We ate in most nights preferring to barbecue and there were 2 supermarkets nearby for our needs. We did eat out in Orange which had a good variety of restaurants to choose from. There was lots to do in the surrounding area. We visited Avignon, Pont du Gard, Chateauneuf du Pape and went kayacking in the Ardeche. We also managed a trip to watch the start of the 15th stage of the Tour de France which was great. The property was very comfortable; comfy beds and ceiling fans made sleeping easy in the high temperatures. The whole villa was clean and very well equipped. I would definitely recommend this villa. You need a car but it is easily reached from Nimes or Bezzier (cheap flights from UK by Ryanair). Thank you laura and Thierry for a wonderful stay!

My wife and I spent a great week and have nothing but good things to say about this location and property. It is a great spot, in a very quite but accessible part of France, close to great wine regions, but also being itself in one of the great wine areas in France. Laura was very helpful to us and was very accommodating and engaging. The house is completely private and you have a great view, but also a great area for dining outside. The Kitchen was well equipped and very easy to use and the rooms were large and accommodating. There were four of us, and it could easily accommodate six people with three bathrooms. We really had a great time there and would highly recommend it for others who are interested in this part of France, which in my view is even more beautiful than Provence. The wine is better and the food is also exceptional... Many very interesting small villages near by so you can keep busy going to markets etc, of simply stay by the pool, which is exceptionally beautiful, with lots of shade and sunshine....

We had a wonderful, wonderful time at Laura and Thierry's house. They were consummate hosts and made us feel very welcome while always respecting our privacy. We were at Domaine des Charmettes for three weeks and had many different guests coming and going. We felt so at home started to refer to it as 'our house in France.' The grounds are beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is a family kitchen with all the appliances (including a dishwasher, which came in handy as we had many evening meals under the stars.) If you are a cyclist, there are wonderful rides around Laudun. We travel quite a bit, and we count this as one of our favorite vacations. What’s not to love? A great house with a pool, lovely people, oh-so beautiful food and wine, and a vineyard right outside of your window?
