I recently stayed at a holiday home on the outskirts of Saint-Nazaire, and it was a truly remarkable experience. Nestled in a secluded area, the property offered unparalleled privacy, making it an ideal retreat for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The surroundings were serene, and the natural beauty of the landscape provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the host, who was incredibly genuine and compassionate, ensuring every need was met with warmth and attentiveness. Additionally, the property offered a fair enough WiFi connection and decent cellular connectivity, which was a pleasant surprise given the remote location. If you're seeking a peaceful getaway, this holiday home is a fantastic choice.

Beautiful, well located, well equipped house
Beautiful, well located, well equipped house
A fantastic property!! The house was well equipped, well presented and very clean. The property felt very private with it’s own excellent pool and driveway. Phillipe, the owner, lives behind the house and we thought he was brilliant! Helpful, friendly, informative but in no way intrusive. The house is perfectly situated. We visited Avignon, Nîmes, the Ardèche and the beaches of the south coast which were an hour and a half away. There is excellent river swimming on the doorstep and the cascades de sautadet are only a short drive. The Pont du Gard is well worth a visit and offered the best river swimming of our holiday. We would definitely recommend to others, and if we come back to this part of France would hope to stay here again.

A stunningly converted French villa, quietly located amongst hills & vineyards with beautiful views.
A stunningly converted French villa, quietly located amongst hills & vineyards with beautiful views.
Our family group of 7, stayed very comfortably in 'Grand Chene' at short notice, for 10 days, this Easter. Everything was organised quickly, & nothing was any trouble for Philippe and Sylvie, our hosts, who live on site, in an adjoining property. They bent over backwards to ensure that we had everything we needed, and to tell us all about the area, & how to make the most of our stay in the Ceze valley area of Provence. The French villa is stunningly converted from an original medieval barn adjoining the owner's property; you wouldn't know that anyone else is around - as every attention to detail has been considered to preserve the privacy of anyone staying in one of the 2 holiday homes, adjoining the owner's home. We loved the modern facilities combined with oak beams; and the tasteful decor throughout, including the open plan living area, and especially the master bedroom! - this gave us a luxury unlike anything we have ever experienced before, even on our honeymoon! A comfortable double bed, with luxurious canopy & mosquito net hanging from the tall ceiling, made us feel like kings & queens. Along with the Victorian style freestanding bath, next to the bed, cordoned off tastefully with wooden beams to create a large 'boudoire' truly like nothing else we have ever experienced! We were welcomed with a comprehensive basket of goodies, to start us off on our holiday, and to enable us to relax, before venturing into the local town, to stock up on provisions. The local boulangerie, supermarket and butcher came up trumps, providing good quality food to meet our needs, amply. Philippe even told us all about local vineyards and outlets, where we could sample the tastes of France & find memorabilia to remind us of our stay. We came in early April, when the temperatures were sub-zero in the UK, and we experienced lovely warm weather throughout our stay, including some stunning, hot sunshine on some days. This enabled us to really enjoy exploring the local and surrounding area, to the full. It wasn't warm enough to use the lovely swimming pool, but we had ample deck chairs to relax in the sunshine beside the pool, in the secluded outdoor area. This has far reaching views to the local area, and an outdoor kitchen, which the owners had just fitted with a brand new outdoor barbecue. Luxury outdoors, as well as in. We recommend Mas des Fonts wholeheartedly to you; a luxurious setting for any type of celebration, & to make you feel truly blessed! Enjoy :)
