Mama's Apartments Cavtat

We booked this literally on the day as we were scammed by Air BnB and so glad we found this place as what a great find! The host was super lovely. The apartment was lovely and HUGE! The photos are nice but it really is so much nicer too! The view was beautiful! Great location, a little ten minute walk down to the harbour with lots of places to eat and drink. We took a boat trip over to Dubrovnik from there too. If we came back we would definitely stay here.

Der große Balkon mit der Aussicht aufs Meer hat uns besonders gefallen. Auch das Wohnzimmer war ein schön eingerichteter Raum mit Klimaanlage. Diese hat die Wohnung gut gekühlt. Die Lage war gut. Ein ca. 20minütiger Spaziergang steil bergab führte ins Zentrum des wunderschönen Ortes Cavtat. Es gibt viele kleine Badebuchten, einige davon unter großen Kiefern, so dass wir auch Schattenplätze am Wasser fanden. Der Tagespreis für eine Strandliege liegt bei ca. 7,00 €, was wir fair fanden. Mit dem Wassertaxi kommt man problemlos direkt in die Altstadt von Dubrovnik (15,00 € pro Person hin und zurück, auch sehr fair). Cavtat eignet sich, um abzuschalten, in den Tag hineinzuleben, etwas spazieren und baden zu gehen. Kultur kann man in Dubrovnik erleben. Wir hatten eine erholsame Woche hier.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat aus unserer Sicht nicht ganz so gepasst. Die Einrichtung der Schlafzimmer, die Küche und das Bad sind aus unserer Sicht schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, so dass wir den Mietpreis für den bestehenden Standard etwas zu teuer fanden. Da in der Nähe der Flughafen ist, hört man schon öfter Flugzeuge über Cavtat fliegen, was wir aber gut ausblenden konnten und es für uns nicht störend war.

Mamas apartment was a beautiful, spacious apartment suitable for a family. The host Vlaho was excellent, great communication, booked us an airport taxi, kept our bags before apartment was ready and also at the end of the trip due to a late flight. Kids greatly appreciated the fruit basket on arrival but the best part of our stay was definitely the views from the balcony, absolutely breathtaking!!!

Nothing
